Chastity Bono & Jennifer Elia: Wellness Couple
Chastity Bono, who is in the process of transitioning from a female to a male, is spotted out and about Los Angeles with girlfriend Jennifer Elia on Monday (June 15).
On Tuesday (June 16), the 40-year-old daughter of Cher, who wants to become Chaz Bono, was also spotted entering a personalized wellness center.
GLAAD recently released a statement “both for him personally and for all who are committed to advancing discussions about fairness and equality for transgender people.”
The news of Chaz’s gender reassignment process broke last week.

Right now I am ashamed to be a human being living in the same world as all of you haters. Live and let live. I wish hm all the best. It should be everyone’s goal to live a 100% AUTHENTIC life. And by AUTHENTIC I mean true to ourselves and not what the world thinks we should be/do.. It must be a very lonely world for all of you who struggle to stay the perfect weight and to try to always maintain “Gender specific perfection”. I feel sorry for all of you.

I am shocked and appalled by some of the IGNORANT and bigoted replies to this thread.
First and foremost unless you have walked a mile in a person’s shoes you have NO room to speak. For you so called Christians… let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Christians like to throw the phrase “what would Jesus do?” around when it comes to gays and lesbians…. Jesus befriended the lowly and the outcast. Look at Mary Magdalane, look at the leper…
As far as Chaz goes, coming out isn’t an easy process, I should know! Struggling with who you are as a person isn’t a fun feeling. And then to know there are people like the majority who posted. That is why people stay closeted. That is why people don’t out and out say if they feel “trapped” in their body. Because of the gay bashing mentality that people have shown in their statements on this thread. I didn’t come out til I was 26 because of religious zealots who condemned me to hell. Forget the fact that I prayed for people who were sick, and saw them healed, or prayed for salvation of friends and family, and saw them come to the Lord.
For you people who want to say Chaz is a sinner, we are ALL sinners. however, there is one thing a person must do to be saved “Accept the Lord and acknowledge that Jesus died on the cross for your sins.” There is also ONE unforgivable sin. Blasphemy. By definition blasphemy is saying “there is no God.” A person can still be a homosexual and believe in Jesus and have Him as their personal savior. You people don’t know what Chaz’s beliefs are. Chaz is homosexual…. got a sex change… Good for him!
As one other poster said, a decision like this doesn’t happen over time. No Chaz may not have expressed to the public his desire for this change, but who’s to say it wasn’t mentioned to Cher or Elijah Blue or even Jen long before his 40th birthday? Kudos to Chaz for being true to what was inside of him! Best of luck to Chaz and Jen in this time of transition!

Chastity was not born with a medical defect or anomoly. She is a healthy woman. She is not ugly either. She has gained a lot of weight but that is it. I disagree with surgeons preying on the insecurities and mental instability of people including women who want breast implants etc. Surgeons are making a lot of money altering people who are perfectly fine.
Also, I would investigage the parents of transgendered children a little closer for child abuse. How do we not know some crazy mother is whispering in their child’s ear, you are supposed to be a girl/or boy? How many of these kids are really victims of muncshausen by proxy???
I really don’t think all this “freak” stuff does the gay people any good at all. Just when older people or “Christians” try to be “educated” gays get freakier and Christians become more convinced this IS NOT NORMAL and these people are freaks and mental cases. Its not even about being “Christian” anymore its about being a freakshow.

Debi Im not going to turn this thread into a religious debate. I am simply going to say yes the bible does say that God created man and woman first. His plan was to repopulate the earth. He did that! However, if you do more than just read your bible and do some RESEARCH on biblical origins. You will learn that King James was a HOMOSEXUAL, because of the time period he was living in it was considered unnatural and he was ashamed, he was the one that added many of the “clobber” passages into the bible.
If you look at word origins and study meanings you will see that God’s true heart boils down to the fact that what is really an abomination to Him is idolatry and promiscuity. Yes, gays and lesbians alike can be promiscuous, but ya know what… so can straight people! As I stated before there is ONE unforgivable sin in the bible that is blasphemy which by definition is denying god with your lips.
And science has proven that humans are not the only creatures created with homosexual tendencies.
This was all stuff that I needed confirmation about before my own decision to come out. I’ve heard the voice of God, I feel His presence around me in my everyday life. I have seen His Shekinah glory reign down before me. It was God who showed me the answers that I sought out,. God who spoke to me using Romans Romans 1:21-31. It was God that spoke to me telling me that for me what was “natural” for me was to be with a woman. And it is God who loves me no matter what! And it is God who I believe will welcome me into His kingdom saying “Well done good and faithful servant”. How do I know this? You ask… Because there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus, and God is not the author of confusion. The bible is right, scripture interprets scripture… It did in my case. Shock of all shocks, God even used a straight person to tell me that He saw my heart and that I needed to be true to myself and accept myself as He accepted me.
Thankfully I have a good body of believers who accept me for who I am, and don’t judge me because I am lesbian. Sad that not enough Christian’s are like that in this day and age.

Ignorance is bliss Rhonda! Normal for you isnt normal for me. Normal is something that cant be defined, because THERE IS NO SUCH THING! Thats what people don’t get. Case in point… The woman sunday school teacher who rapes and kills a little girl. The devout husband and father who has an affair and kills his wife and children while they sleep. Watch the news, its all around us. Normal does not exist.
And if you are referencing my being told by a straight person to be true to myself… At the time I went up for prayer, it was an unspoken prayer request. Meaning I didn’t mention anything about being a lesbian or having those feelings. That was done on purpose, because if I had faith that God was going to answer my questions in earnest and knows my heart, then it would be confirmed, and it was. It was after all the confirmations that I received and the searching and the answers that I was able to come out to my congregation. Yes, there were a few that chose not to accept me, but the majority said “Um, we already knew that, and it doesn’t change who you are nor does it change the fact that you are saved and that God loves you. He made you for a purpose, and He doesn’t make mistakes.” For the longest time I felt as though He did make a mistake placing these feelings in me.
I was never sexually molested, nor was I coddled by my mother as most would assume. If we were to use the word “normal” in reference to my childhood, yea I was a happy kid and it was your average childhood. Yes I was the product of a divorce, however. I was close equally to my dad and my step mom and my brothers and sisters as I am to my mom and my step dad. In fact, my mom and my parents and their spouses are all close. My dad and his family are Jehovah’s Witness, yet for Christmas and Thanksgiving they come over here to have dinner.
I have a job, I pay my taxes, I have a home I have my beliefs, and a relationship with the Lord. I have family and friends who love me and accept me no matter what. I have my health, and all in all I have no complaints. Except for narrow-minded intolerant, bigotry.

When Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment was, He said, “YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.” (Matthew 22:37) He then added that the second most important law was “YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.” Jesus said that the entire law was dependent upon these two commandments.
For all you Christians who have faith and belief in God who want to condemn Chaz or any other person that you deem not “normal” Think about that… Think about Christ’s words and the word “Whosoever”… It’s always said in that last nanosecond a person who has led the worst lifestyle (Murderer, rapist, molester… Hell even someone like Hitler) can be saved if they accept Christ on their death bed, and will enter the kingdom of God and be forgiven for anything. I KNOW Im covered by Christs blood.

She is perfectly healthy and not happy with the way God mad her. It is wrong in God’s eyes. No one is judging her but basically stating that is not what God wants from his children.

Good Chaz go on. Unlike other people, I don’t see you as a defective girl, but rather, I understand you are a helpless boy in the wrong body. Avoid all these religious hardliners and live your life to the fullest.
God sometimes creates these mistakes deliberately to let people suffer, so it’s not your fault. Why should you suffer when other people enjoy their lives to the fullest:? Go ahead.
