Brad & Angelina Donate $1 Million to Aid Refugees
In support of Angelina Jolie’s eight-year relationship with the UN Refugee Agency, the Jolie-Pitt Foundation has given $1 million to help displaced people in Pakistan.
According to People, the head of the agency, António Guterres, thanked the foundation for its assistance.
Earlier this week, Angie and partner Brad Pitt donated $1 million to St. John’s Children’s Hospital for the creation of the Jane Pitt Pediatric Cancer Center (named after Brad’s mother) in his hometown of Springfield, MO.
On Thursday, Angie will appear on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 and join Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to talk about World Refugee Day in Washington D.C. Angie will also appear on Friday’s Today Show.

it just shows how you have very little understanding of publicity. u cant assume the info came from their publicist; each organization has their own pr department and if a VERY famous couple donated a HUGE sum of money - that is major publicity for their organization too. so, it is possible they released the news, not brad and angelina’s people. having people associate them with a powerful couple like this gives them MORE benefits than just the monetary value.

I remember reading about this last week. Brad Pitt and his blood relatives (mother included) gave the donation to the hospital. Angelina Jolie had nothing to do with it. Good publicity though. Some of you would say that she donated by association, but I do not think that it is fair to leave out the other people who contributed to this donation.

Jane Pitt’s children donated and ‘Brad’s family’ was part of it. Brad’s family consists of Brad, Angie, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne.
@Orchid: Orchid don’t bother to explain to the trolls that Brad Pitt Family consist of Angie & the kids, they wouldn’t & refused to accept the fact that Brad has his own family now Angie & 6 kids.

the money they donate is from them exploited their kids pic to the press. They should use their own money they make from the movies and commericials they do. They are so greedy to live they high-life style.

@sue: Brad & Angie donated all the proceeds from the photos of their children, somehow, somewhere, someone were helped by these millions, who else from HW stars donated the proceeds of the photo earnings? Brad & Angie they will always be ridiculed, they are the most powerful couple in HW, they are envied by millions including famous others.

For God’s sake, what do these people have to do to make you haters happy? They donate $2 million to those less fortunate in a week, and you have to complain about it, because it’s looked upon as a “publicity stunt”!? That’s $2 million dollars towards people who need it to find food, shelter, treatment, a semblance of stability, etc! And this gets looked down upon? How heartless are you to begrude someone who is doing their part to make the world a better place to live? Would you ever to refuse help from some one if you were in a similar position???

What is it with all the tabloids claiming that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are breaking up? This column can assure you that it’s absolutely not true. They have several kids together, have a saint status for their humanitarian deeds, and have been Hollywood’s hottest couple for the past three years.

Does Jennifer Aniston have something to do with this? After all, Ms. Aniston can’t seem to keep a husband, boyfriend, or even a film career. Perez Hilton and others constantly call her “Maniston” and she is ridiculed throughout the Internet.

It’s most probable that the rumors being spread are by people who are so miserable with their own lives that they love to see celebrities fail. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have what true stars are made of. Unfortunately, that’s just too much for some.
What a lovely tribute to Brad’s Mom, and to such a worthy cause. If I had the earning capacity of the Jolie-Pitt family, I would do the very same thing. As is, I support ten charities to the best of my more modest ability, and sponsor a little girl in Honduras. I’m so very proud when I recieve her letters and school reports.
We can all make a difference.

That stuff might not be public, but when they gave this 1 mill, it happened to be. -Angelina & Brad are great people. They know what they have, and make sure to give back to others. i agree with LadyLurksAlot. When the twins were born, they gave ALL of those millions to charities. Magazines kept bidding to get the first photos, and the ones who would give the most, the family chose to give all the cash to charity. When Shiloh was born, they did the same. Also, when Pax and Angelina were on the cover, they recieved money and donated it also. So dont say “they could have gave more”. They do. We dont have to know every last bit of cash they give and where it goes, but the truth is they give back more in a year, then they make per movie.
