Gee, guys, this must be the BIG NEWS that ICU predicted would come out this week. Wow! He must have inside sources. How oculd I ever doubt him?

I believe that the 1 million donation for the hopsital was made in conjuction with his siblings and their families. I agree that maybe they were the ones that donated the most of the million dollars, but it should say, because it is fair, that it was a donation made by the family, not just Brad and Angie.

Also, this is practically refugee week. There are some events around the issue and pledges of refugees, Angie’s first passion outside her family. She cares about her UN work seriously, she’s anadvocate for it, and this was one othe things that made her life be better.

Do you want her and the agencies benefited to be quiet about such a large donation? Donations is what they need. More money is spent in other things by governments and private citizens. A million dollars goes a long way, yes, but at the end the problems of refugees will last longer, years and years, without hope of returnig to their land and possessions.

More countries have violence that force families to flee, and some countries have a hard time receiving them, since they are poor too. A million dollars is such a good news , and I bet they are trying to encourage other big donators and not so big, to contribute.

What if they do not make first place in the richest list next year? It might be because they are not makin movie after move each one of them, five, six in a row, but instead taking time to spend with their family, do their charities, and donate.

I do have a loving heart and it is not made of stone and envy. So you don’t believe that other Hollywood celebs give donations because they want to even though they prefer to have that a private matter? I make quite a few donations throughout the year and it’s no ones business what I give. And obviously thats how MOST other celebs are…..they give because they want to and in private.

I noticed no one has told me what Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts donated this past year? Oh my, it must have been private.

This is in addition to the previous 2 big donations recently .

A donation of 1.9 mil would have benefited many more. Do you know how many people donate millions WITHOUT making sure you and I know about it? Their egos don’t need the constant ego stroking and attention these 2 require.

I worked in the international humanitarian field and dealt with all kinds of charitable giving for my organization and untold other organizations as well as being a close friend of the Executive Director of one of the largest charitable funds in the country. I’ll trust my personal and professional experience as well as that of a professional in the field of philanthropy. Large donations are almost all publicized. If not then they lose a great deal of their effectiveness. You are obviously having trouble grasping this concept.

Even when the rare donor wants to be anonymous, the donation itself is announced. Just how often to rrad of anonymous donations?
