Brad & Angelina Donate $1 Million to Aid Refugees
In support of Angelina Jolie’s eight-year relationship with the UN Refugee Agency, the Jolie-Pitt Foundation has given $1 million to help displaced people in Pakistan.
According to People, the head of the agency, António Guterres, thanked the foundation for its assistance.
Earlier this week, Angie and partner Brad Pitt donated $1 million to St. John’s Children’s Hospital for the creation of the Jane Pitt Pediatric Cancer Center (named after Brad’s mother) in his hometown of Springfield, MO.
On Thursday, Angie will appear on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 and join Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to talk about World Refugee Day in Washington D.C. Angie will also appear on Friday’s Today Show.

@jasmine: please, do not be obssesed in trashing a perfectly good deed, invest your time in something worthwhile, and please, do not bring aniston and her handbags here.
I really don’t know what the big deal is about wanting to be a private charity donor. MOST celebs do not publicize their donations except for a small percentage of them. As I said earlier, in my opinion, donations should be a private matter unless you want the publicity for doing so. You brangelina people are so sensitive and by calling me an ignorant ***** will not get you into the Kingdom of God.
Reading the comments on this thread, it is clear to me that there is a direct correlation in the intelligence between haters and fans. Anybody can see by the quality of the posts what level of education either side has and that the haters have reading comprehension problems. It also speaks volumes about the willingness of the fans to try to raise the education level of the haters over and over again, even if it is fruitless. That speaks volumes about the kind of fans the JPs attract. I’m proud to call myself a fan of this amazing couple.
Where was Jasmine last week when Filler Face Aniston did a photo-op for Kitson to sell their T-shirts in the name of charity?
Come on, keep the adoration and worship going.. Brad and Angie are cravin more.
Let’s see more “God Bless their souls” and the ones that don’t believe are “Trolls.” Oh brother, it’s a cult.
Jasmine:
Jennifer Aniston supported Clothes off our backs by donating “a vintage Christian Dior gown that she wore when she won an Emmy in 2002, brought in $50,000 for UNICEF which paid for 50,000 immunizations for children in Africa,” Kaczmarek says. “A woman bought the gown for her niece to wear to the prom.”
.
.
Yes every bit help but where is her cash donation? Don’t get me wrong any help is worth it. But you can’t compare her support to others. Don’t hate because the J-P are doing good for others and being recognized for it.
For Jill and others, once again:
Jennifer Aniston has supported the following charities:
Clothes Off Our Back
EB Medical Research Foundation
Friends of El Faro
GLAAD
Habitat For Humanity
Lili Claire Foundation
Luke Neuhedel Foundation
Project A.L.S.
Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
US Campaign for Burma

Wow, look at you ‘followers’ jump all over Jasmine.
Obsessed. Period.
@jasmine: so private we don’t even know about it, eh? … this is not about your idol. Next!
duh @ 06/17/2009 at 11:55 pm
@ the age of 24 Angelina was traveling the world learning about refugees.

@ the age of 24 Brad was dumping one teenager for the next.
Don’t forget June 18th is Mandela Day. Brad did a PSA but I haven’t seen it aired on TV at all! Check it out on youtube or at http://www.mandeladay.com
June 18th is MANDELA DAY which “CELEBRATES THE IDEA THAT EACH INDIVIDUAL HAS THE POWER TO TRANSFORM THE WORLD, THE ABILITY TO MAKE AN IMPRINT. On this day, we raise our hands in celebration and renewed commitment to the making of a just society. Nelson Mandela teaches us that every human being can make a positive imprint. One by one, and together, we must continue to encourage open dialogue around social issues. We must transform discourse into action. We have work to do.”

#106 A total Fan
“Yes every bit help but where is her cash donation?”
Like a slew of other celebs, Aniston prefers to keep her donations private. And I don’t blame her.
So now Jasmine is showing that Filler Face Aniston is not so private in her donations?
@jasmine:
Jen….GO TO BED, Norman is waiting for you. Leave the Jolie-Pitts alone. You are becoming a STALKER!!!
Besides, who knows, Filler Face Aniston may be giving just a few hundred bucks to each charity.

Jasmine because it is so private and you felt you had to defend Aniston , I bet you actually had to research and find the site that listed them all so you could post them here.. If not for the site you would have never had an idea how many she supports. Which is why a celebrity should make their donations know. So they can bring awarness to what is important. I didn’t know how many Aniston supported until now, because her donations are so private.
as you can see, Brad nor Angelina told the world, ” we donated This Much” if you really read the article, they thanked Angelina for her donation.
nitpicking arent we? gosh, i dont understand why people are so miserable…
Ummm, Jasmine, if fugly was SO PRIVATE about her freaking donations, how come you have a LIST of her charities (to some of which she just donated used purses, LOL!). So how come you don’t demand she give quietly too? Double standard much?
#115 An oldie:
“Aniston may be giving just a few hundred bucks to each charity.”
Whatever she donates is really none of your business just like what I donate is none of your business.
A beautiful couple and a beautiful family with huge beautiful hearts. Say what you want about the Jolie-Pitts, their actions speak volumes.
They care so, they help.
GOD BLESS THEM.
Oh people, come on. Quit defending people that:
Don’t know you.
Don’t give a **** about you.
My poop is more interesting than this rainbow Brady Bunch.
We should all just laugh at this “jasmine” aka X person. She keeps repeating the same c*ap over and over again, and is still not making any sense. Go figure. LOL
