Brad & Angelina Donate $1 Million to Aid Refugees
In support of Angelina Jolie’s eight-year relationship with the UN Refugee Agency, the Jolie-Pitt Foundation has given $1 million to help displaced people in Pakistan.
According to People, the head of the agency, António Guterres, thanked the foundation for its assistance.
Earlier this week, Angie and partner Brad Pitt donated $1 million to St. John’s Children’s Hospital for the creation of the Jane Pitt Pediatric Cancer Center (named after Brad’s mother) in his hometown of Springfield, MO.
On Thursday, Angie will appear on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 and join Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to talk about World Refugee Day in Washington D.C. Angie will also appear on Friday’s Today Show.

A huge donations were made to aid refugees in Pakistan. This money will go a long way to help refugees in many ways—provide tents, clothing, food, medicine etc. Why do we need to argue over such trivial matters . As a fan, I’m very proud that Brad & Angie did this. I will support them in what ever charities they are involved in. Even if this $1m is given by some other celebrity, I will be grateful because any donation, big or small, goes a long way in helping those who greatly in need of it.

Find all that out for yourself if you’re interested. I don’t know about this year, but I read it in the newspaper when JRoberts gave a million dollars right after Katrina happened, and SSpielberg gave a million dollars to the charity for Darfur started by Brad, George Clooney, Matt Damon and Don Cheadle.
The recipient of a donation usually announces the donation and the donor. A foundation usually announces its donation to a charity.
What is your problem? What does it matter, whether a donation is public or not??? Surely what matters is that people in need benefit.

All donations, big and small, public and private, help those in need.
Some people have their bank make donations on their behalf, without using their names because if you sign your name you usually receive requests for more donations!

A million goes a long way. To you it may be only a million to those who truly need it, it is a hugh bessing. Be grateful you are not in the poistion to have to benefit from as you put it only a million dollars. God has truly blessed this couple. And I admire them greatlly.

Definitely in Pakistan. I mean a million US$ buys much more in Pakistan than in a country in the west.

I have read comments where people wrote that Angelina just visits the refugees, but no she doesn’t just visit she gives her own hard earned money too. If you don’t have someting good to say, jasmine please don’t say anyting. It gets tiring reading about people trying to put Brad and Angie down, just leave them alone! While haters stay on the blog polluting them, the JPs are working hard helping needy people.

I’m no big fan of Hilary Clinton but I think it is f*cking awesome that Angelina is well thought of enough to be interviewed on CNN with the Secretary of State. It says alot about how much respect she has where it counts, where the real power is, not just the Hollywood bs crowd. Way to go Angie :-) !!!

You’re the type of person who, when given a finger, you want the whole hand.
Brad & Angie don’t have to give a cent, but they plan to give regularly, which is why they started the Jolie-Pitt Foundation.
Again, a foundation usually announces their donation. Bill Gates and his wife announced their donation to fight child diseases in Africa.
People who don’t have foundations can give quietly once and never give again. Foundations HAVE TO give a certain percentage of their capital EVERY YEAR.

People already kinow they’re generous human beings, so that not news. They’re also famous movie stars with a lot of fans all over the world. That makes everything they do news. For a hater, you really know how to stalk a person/couple. There is seven pages already and on every page you have posted 4/5 comments, that is in total 35 comments from a hater in a few minutes the thread has been created. That makes you a sick stalker/hater motivated by jealousy. If you have any shame at all, you will spend this idle time you have going through your local community helping the poor, learn a thing from what Angie is doing, you will become a better person, less jealous of others better than YOU.

If she is so private why does she have no problem joking about all the money she gets from Friends. Why does she have no problem talking about investing in Smartwater and promoting Smartwater. Why does she have no problem talking about her new expensive home. Why does she have no problem doinig commercials, ads and going to parties for charity. The only thing X has a problem with is publicly releasing how much money she gives Why? Maybe because she does not give money or gives very little based her wealth.

US Lies Weakly ain’t good for much, but last year they did a short article and pix for the EB fundraiser. X didn’t do a damned thing for this charity except stand next to Courteney Cox at fund raiser and act like she cared. Brad, on the other hand, donated M-O-N-E-Y. IIRC it was $100K. His manager, Cynthia Pette-Dante, who also manages Courteney, has a son who suffers from EB. COURTENEY is the one who’s involved with the EB Foundation. X, as usual, was coattail riding on Courteney’s work. I really am boggled as to how Courteney can stand having such a big ass moocher as a “friend”.
