Brian Austin Green is Smallville’s Metallo
Brian Austin Green, who starred on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, has been cast on Smallville as a villain, kryptonite-powered cyborg Metallo.
TV Guide reports that the 35-year-old actor will appear in at least the first two episodes of Season 9, which premieres Friday, Sept. 2.
Originally, B.A.G. was supposed to join another CW series, One Tree Hill, but the deal fell through. That role went to former Lipstick Jungle hunk Robert Buckley instead.

Snap, that’s awesome. Brian is hott. And Smallville is a 100X better show than One Tree Hill, nice! OTH is so super lame. Good for him.

First of all, September 2, 2009, is in a Wednesday. Season Nine premiers Friday, September 25, 2009. And I am CORRECT this time, JJ.
Oh please, Smallville is a shadow of its former self and I suspect season 9 will look like an inferior Lois and Clark remake. I wish BAG good luck….. that’s good luck that the show doesn’t get cancelled before he’s able to showcase is ‘talent’.

They can bring in as many villains as they want, but there will never be another one like Lex Luther. They need to bring back another Lex, even if it’s not Michael Rosenbaum.
Smallville is crap now….I used to watch it the first years it aired but then, it got really horrible. I don’t like B.A.G ……..maybe because of his “perhaps-ex” b!tch Megan Fox..
Smallville is crap because of characters like Chloe and Davis Bloome and their “doomed” romance. Don’t get me started on Lana.
The first half of season 8 was very good. Why? Because Clark was the leading man, Lois was the leading lady and Chloe was in the background. Clark was being pro-active - after all it’s a show about the future Superman, right? But in the second half it became Chloeville and the crap quality of the episodes reflect that.
Chloe needs to die.

Smallville sucked because of Lana drama.
I wish Smallville hadn’t gone to hell and a hand-basket, or I’d actually be excited over the addition of this vital villain.

The “Lana drama” has you put it is all down to the inept writers (many have now jumped the sinking ship) who lack creative flare and a realisitic vision of the show. Retcons, inconsistent plotlines and a lack of character development are the show’s downfall. Talk about flogging a dead horse.
The first half did show promise and it was about Clark becoming as close to Superman as he ever has. He finally got his ass in gear but then Lana returned. And he was reduced to a puppy again. Then she left but Chloe stepped into her shoes to emasculate Clark. Between Lana and Chloe, they have managed to remove the Man of Steel’s balls. Well done!!!
And the sad thing is Kreuk and Mack seem to think their character’s are the best thing on the show. Kreuk thought her character’s exit was about “empowering” women. Mack just thinks Chloe is the next best thing to God. They both need to get their heads out their as*es.
@ maered sounds like someone is jealous of both Kreuk and Mack, I’ve never heard either of them express that their characters were “the best thing on the show” as you say. Last time I checked both actors were pretty well off. Why don’t you get your head out of your A$$ and make something of yourself, what ever you think of Kreuk and Mack they are more successful than you’ll ever be.

Actually, AJ, go and see the interviews Kreuk gave when she returned to ruin Smallville. She said that her character’s exit was deserving and empowering for girls. Ok, that makes her delusional.
Secondly, have a look at the recent interview Mack gave. She just goes on and on about how essential her character is to Smallville. Again, delusional. Her character become the Lana 2.0.
The ONLY character who is essential to Smallville is Clark Kent. Not Lana and not Chloe. Smallville needs to focus on his journey. That’s what would make this show viewable again. Instead we get episodes of Chloeville and various characters telling us what a great hero she is. What a joke! She’s not even in the mythos. Let her die!
The only true important character in Smallville is Clark Kent, not Lana-Drama or Chloe-Drama.Hope season 9 will be better with Clark becoming Superman and Lois Lane by his side.

Brian as Meatallo very cool think this actor is very un-rated and think he’ll do great in the new season.
For the first time since the premier I am not looking forward to seeing Smallville. Why would they waste film on Brian Green? He can’t act and is nothing more than the illegitimate love child of marky mark and vanilla ice. So lame.
