Kristen Stewart: A Triumphant Feminist Story
Twilight actress Kristen Stewart gives costar Dakota Fanning a ride after rehearsing for their new movie The Runaways on Wednesday (June 17) in Burbank, Calif.
The 19-year-old New Moon starlet plays Joan while Dakota plays Cherrie Currie in the new movie about the 1970s all-girl rock band.
Talking about Joan’s work, Kristen said, “I’m just listening to her music all the time. I’m trying to just make myself aware of the time period and what she was going through. It’s one of the most immense responsibilities to play a real person. Her story’s important. It’s an incredibly triumphant feminist story really.” 10+ pictures inside…

Wow, what the heck. Leave these girls alone. They’re 19 and 15 - very young and, from what I’ve been able to see, very professional. They’re simply trying to do their jobs and do them well and hone their skills. The hair? It grows back, people. I applaud her for taking what seems to me to be a scary step. She had a gorgeous head of hair and to cut that off only says to me that she’s brave and committed. Of course, I’m not a huge fan of the new cut, but I understand it and respect it. Plus, she always has a beautiful face. Why is it that people worship the ground that a guy walks on no matter what he does or who he is or what areas of his own craft he may need to hone, but women are always judged so much more harshly?

Kristin Stewart was awful in Twilight. She was either channeling William Shatner or someone told her that…painfully pausing…every…few words…makes crappy acting sound more dramatic. Dakota Fanning is much more talented.

I actually totally agree with you. I haven’t seen KS with Nikki or Michael lately anywhere, which is odd considering she’s being stalked by the pap’s like crazy. I don’t know whether KS and RP ARE dating…but sooner or later it’s gonna happen…there’s just way too much going on between those two. There’s still 2 more movies to be made and heaps of promotion together…bring it on:)
