Angelina Jolie: World Refugee Day Commemoration

Sometimes I feel really bad that she has to put up with all that hatred.
So unfair. So unjust. She is a strong woman, and I have great respect for her for all that she does for the refugees.

@the real lou: that’s what I always say. The difference is they don’t hate those women like they hate Angelina so they don’t call them out on their wrinkles or aging. Jennifer Garner is another one that doesn’t get the crap . she’s only 1 or 2 years older than Jolie but in close ups you can see the wrinkles setting in. Brad Pitt too. there’s lots of times where he looks a good ten years older than his age but he’ll never get the hatefulness that Angelina Jolie gets. Period. Angelina fans just have to roll with the punches Angelina has to take for “stealing” Brad Pitt.

if only i could look half as good as she does. vanity is not beautiful, and neither is jealousy. be happy she’s doing what she is. good for her, even if she doesn’t need my respect or admiration to be the person that she is.

Gee, I bet most of us wish we would look this great as we age! She looks her age, dresses age appropriately, and is beautiful inside and out unlike many of the idiots out there now.

Because she is.

There are a lot of people who went to college and study politics and never saw a war-torn country. They study only in theory. Angelina saw before her very eyes the result of the miscalculations of these college grads political strategists. She learns politics on the field.

College is not the only place to learn. Joschka Fischer, was a famous foreign minister of Germany. He didn’t even finish “Gymnasium - a german high school leading to university entrance” let alone have a university degree. He learned politics through protest on the streets and demos; he helped found the Green political party. Yet, as his term as foreign minister ended, he was offered to teach “International Relations” in Princeton.

Angelina knows more about world affairs than some top politicians who haven’t been beyond the US borders.

Jolie is a rare natural beauty, and uses her brain and popularity to better the world which sets her apart from most of Hollywood.

Angelina is an ambassador for the UN High Commission on Refugees. Her interested started when she was filming in Cambodia 8 years ago.
This is her cause. There are very few refugees in the US compared with the rest of the world because of our immigration laws and restrictions.\

Just because a person is a US citizen doesn’t mean they should narrow their focus and efforts to only US children. Some folks want to be WORLD citizens instead of just citizens of their own little corner.

If someone like Angelina and the other UNHCR ambassadors (which currently includes Armani and others from other countries)don’t speak up, then who will? YOU? I don’t think so. Poverty and hunger and homelessness are global issues that need to be addressed by all not just US addressing US poverty.

if angie believes she deserve a better, she wouldn’t have hook up with him in the 1st place and probably didn’t want the relationship last this long. just because you don’t believe she is happy doesn’t angie is not. i am sure she adores brad and vice versa.

Angie is out there doing her thing and might I say doing a great job and the only thing the trolls can say is that she is looking old. Angie looks beautiful and 100x times better than any of you haters on here or else where. Give it up bi*ches and get a freaking life and leave this woman alone

hey hey no slamming the pitt. he is the man…or dustin hoffman or geroge clooney (such a man sloon), but take it easy on the guy. he can’t help looking good. oh sh*t i totally forgot depp (but he looks like a pirate all the time so i don’t buy it. i wish he’d just be clean shaven all the time), anways back to the topic. she’s 34 and a mother and she works and she’s still awesome and looks awesome…if i really wanted to i could talk about her looking tired, or her veins etc…but what she’s doing is good so no negativity please. oh and they must have some hot sex. gah. being a hater is not good karma.
