Johnny Depp Pursues Public Enemies
Johnny Depp suits up in Ralph Lauren Purple Label and signs as many autographs as he can at the premiere of his new movie Public Enemies at the AMC Theater on Thursday (June 18) in Chicago, Ill.
At the premiere, the 45-year-old actor said of his character John Dillinger, “He was a deeply loyal guy, which I think is probably rare for someone in his line of work.” John Dillinger was a bank robber in the mid-western United States during the 1930s, who some considered to be a modern-day Robin Hood.
The film was shot on location in Chicago and Indiana. “I adore Chicago. I love it, I love it here,” Depp told CBS.

OMG So Hot and Sexy.
My teenage granddaughter and some of her friends watched some scenes with Johnny being shot in a little town in Indiana in the Chicago metropolitan area. He waved to everyone and was as friendly as he could be while on set, despite the fact that the teens were as loud in their adoration as you’d expect. Nice guy.
I think it might have been a mistake to put Depp and Bale in the same film…at least for Bale. Because his brand of rather wooden acting is bound to suffer in comparison to Depp’s organic authenticity.

Marion Cotillard is very very very lucky to have worked with Johnny. Oh I’m so jealous. But Vanessa Paradis is the most lucky lady! I envy her, really. Johnny Depp = HOTNESS OVERLOAD. And he ages well! I want a man like this.

a lot of the movie was shot in two small towns in Wisconsin, Columbus and Oshkosh, because of the old town feel of their downtown areas…

I’m with Rena A LOT of the movie was shot in WI.
I work in downtown Milwaukee and they shut down streets when they used an old building and turned it into a bank.
WI never gets love…
It’s nice to see Depp play a semi normal character for once!

He is the nicest guy out there! I was lucky enough to go and stand there with the hundreds of fans last night. and while not everyone got an autograph, he made sure that about 90% of the people there got a handshake or something. i don’t think anyone expected him to go from one side of the block to the other, but he did and we were all so thankful. I LOVE YOU JOHNNY!

natalia: I was there too and I know we weren’t expecting him to sign and shake hands for that long or for as many people as he did. I didn’t have anything for him to sign but when he got to me he did take a few seconds to talk to me and give me his attention. He was just very sweet and even better looking in person. Every up-and-coming actor in Hollywood should take lessons from this man.

And he was misquoted about the US, fyi. And even if he did hate this country, whatever. People have a right to like and dislike whatever they want.
Johnny does NOT hate this country. He has clarified what he said over and over but people choose not to listen. He is a tax paying American citizen who is entitled to his opinion like everyone else, but he has said time and time again that he loves this country and because of that he has concerns for how it is run. Doesn’t everybody these days? If you don’t know the truth about that story by now, it’s your loss.

The media (in every country) likes to sensationalize things and blow them out of proportion. And besides, even if Johnny had really said what he was quoted as saying, he didn’t say he hated America and American people. He was making a comment on the government. What happened to the “freedom of speech” your country is so proud of?
