OlderBrad Pitt is a “Must Bastard”
Brad Pitt takes his motorcycle for a spin in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon (June 19).
The 45-year-old actor and director Quentin Tarantino are dubbed the “Must Bastards” in Entertainment Weekly’s Must-List Issue. The pair join forces for the hotly anticipated World War II revenge fantasy Inglourious Basterds.
Brad has worked with some major directors— David Fincher, Terrence Malick, the Coen brothers – and he knows it.
“I’m a director whore, it’s true,” he says. The movie has been described as “kosher porn,” seeing as it is a revenge fantasy about Jewish-American soldiers. “But there is an aspect of a wish-fulfillment fantasy to the film, for lack of better words,” says Quentin. “Taking down Hitler and destroying the Third Reich—we’ve all had those fantasies.”

It’s amazing, Jared has up a thread of her filming a scene for her newest c*ap movie, and get this, she is running bare feet and hailing a cab. I kid you not. Now where did we just see a similar scene being filmed? Of course Angie filming SALT. Can you believe that? The woman is a freaking joke. LOL

The irony is that they WASTED $100MIL on Pelham to begin with. WTF were they thinking? The original 70’s movie wasn’t all that great, but they decided to remake it? Denzel and Travolta’s salaries at up about $35MIL of the $100MIL budget. They then spent another $30-40MIL marketing. The movie needed to make roughly $300MIL worldwide to turn a profit. Then they drop the movie, starring to men in their mid-50s, in the middle of the summer season of silly comedies, romcoms and action movies aimed at 16-35 year-olds? That was just beyond stupid. Denzel’s movies don’t make a lot of money in foreign markets and Travolta hasn’t had a hit movie in a good half dozen years. It was just a dumb decision.

Oh well…I betcha Brad and Angie are already half-packed and on their way to Europe…

Oh yeah…and I also hope Brad had a pay-or-play deal so Columbia has to pony up his salary for wasting his time. Frankly Pascal should have been keeping a closer eye on the project because everybody in the business knows how Soderbergh likes to experiment. Hell, WE were hearing grumblings about what he wanted to do and we’re online. She had to have known before last Friday the direction he wanted to go in.

Plus Denzel was not his usual fine self in the movie. Sort of spoiled the fantasy. I know he packed on for the role, but the strut was not the same. JMO.

No, I don’t think they ever got a DVD deal either. The few places Che played, it was only the first part. If you look it up at BOM or The Numbers there are no earnings for Part 2, just Part 1. The good news for Benecio and Soderbergh is that Part 1 made twice as much as misManagement! BBBBWWWWHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Why would we leave them out? The topic wasn’t “Which movies did Brad suck in.” I liked Spy Game. It’s underrated. Can barely remember The Devil’s Own, so that says it all. And personally I thought Troy sucked. Still haven’t seen the whole movie and never will. Brad walked away with a huge chunk of money off that film, so good for him. Here’s hoping he never “caves” again. If he does I’ll just send my $7.50 to him directly and tell him I’ll skip the flick.

Angie ran down the street in her bare feet in very, very cold weather. The X is running in June. X is doing a cheap knock of Ange’s movie sceens. No originality, plus can’t do any stunt in a bad a** way like Angie. Neither the x or MF can come to Angie, professionally and personally.
Plus it looks like the x is getting swollen ankles - that is a sign of being middle age. Perhaps she sould have kept her shoes on after all.

True. Denzel didn’t bother to lose the 20-30 pounds he tends to put on between movies. You know my theory on that - for $20MIL…lose the weight. That’s $1MIL per pound. Travolta, too, for that matter. It really pisses me off that the male stars can go to seed and the women are expected to look young no matter what age they are. Hence a certain someone’s filler face…

I think Pascal get cold feet after the failure of Pelham and Year one.
plus the recent failure of a series of A list movie stars.
But I was rather glad the movie was scrap ASAP. Sports movie in particular Baseball movie even with big star like Brad Pitt does not had international market, and the way it was reported that it would be shot like sort of documentary style was another negative impact . beside Soderberg recent films ” The Good German”, “Che”, ” The girlfriend experience”, blah!
Just caught up on a few pages.. Sorry to read that Moneyball is not a go.. more for the other people who were probably depending on that work and most likely turned down other offers.. I don’t really care one way or another. I would have seen the film for Brad alone..
but I really hope Brad and the family can get away now and just be together. As much as I would LOVE to see pictures of them (YES I want to see those twins so bad) I still want them to just have a great family vacation..

When I opened JJ today my first thought was Oh look Angie. the I saw it was Megan.. She has the same hair Angie had at the 2004 and 2009 Oscars. same makeup.. same poses.. Sad.. I saw an interview and Megan said that she is not picking out her looks.. someone else does it for her.. I can tell. The clothes I have to admit are much better then what she has worn in the past.. problem is. whoever is styling her is obsessed with Angelina. Girl needs to develop her own style..
Back to Pascal.. I was critical of her at the beginning. But she has a job to do and if Steven changed the script this late in the game that was a big no.. I’m sure the statement released by Brad reps (if it is true) was a sign that if a new director is chosen Brad will in all likely hood walk away completely.. Brad likes to push the envelope and I think he was really looking forward to working with Steven on this project. So I guess it is time to move on.
Please don’t give Jennifer’s thread any hits.. I dislike her more and more each day.. More because of her nasty fans.
