David Fincher To Direct Facebook Film
Director David Fincher is in advanced talks to helm The Social Network, a film about the formation of Facebook.
The script was written by Aaron Sorkin, who also penned A Few Good Men and many episodes of The West Wing, Sports Night and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.
Variety reports the flick will follow the evolution of Facebook from its 2004 creation on the Harvard campus by sophomore Mark Zuckerberg to a juggernaut with more than 200 million members.
Fincher last directed Brad Pitt in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

He is not bad to look at not to mention he is a good director.
No…JUST NO!
Any movie about internet site formations should be slapped with a “***** TO THE NO.”
Sounds like a bad choice. Not interested.
Bored much?
Fincher could even make a good film about stamps!
One question: WHY???????
@Tony francio: i like your idea! and i loves his voice!
Do we really need a film about Facebook????? Are there no other scripts worthy enough that people have to resort to this?
HE’S THE BEST DIRECTOR OF MY GENERATION!
LOVE FINCHER.
Yeah, he could make a movie about the most boring thing on Earth and it would end up interesting. He’s THAT good.
one of the best director in this era.
A SCENE leaked from the movie! Fincher is doing an AH MAzing job as always but they picked a famous douchebag as the lead. Check out the clip if it is still up:
