Jude Law & Jonny Lee Miller: Wimbledon Watchers
Jude Law and his best bud, fellow British actor Jonny Lee Miller, look on from the stands during the men’s singles first round match of the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships at London’s All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on (Tuesday) June 22.
The pair, along with Jude’s oldest son Rafferty, watched as Roger Federer of Switzerland faced off against Yen-Hsun Lu of Taiwan. Federer won the match, taking his first step toward a record-breaking 15th major championship overall. Score: 7-5, 6-3, 6-2.
FYI: At Jonny’s 1995 wedding to Angelina Jolie, Jude was his best man.

I read in a blog that Jude talked was talking to a guy about how his parents used to take him to Wimbledon when he was a kid so he was returning the favor by taking his son Rafferty. He then proceeded to show Raff the Wimbledon sites and talked about the history of Wimbledon. The guy went away with a lot of respect for Jude.
Apparently, Jonny Lee is not a tennis fan so Jude spent the day explaining to him what the rules of tennis are.

Jude was first shown about soccer by one of his
grandfathers and we’fe all seen how much time he spends
teaching the boys all about soccer which he really loves
and it apears that he loves all sports becuse I haven’t seen pictures of his playing tennis but obviously it ’s another game he knows all
about. How wrong the first guesses about what he is really like as a person had been - I think we will finally meet the real Jude now that

I feel like I’m the only one that doesn’t think that this is a brand new Jude. The fact that he took Rafferty to Wimbledon and teaches him about the game comes as no surprise to me; he’s always been in love with his kids and seems to enjoy being their father. I also don’t think of him “rebuilding his image/career.” I think it’s Jude doing his Jude-thing, not because of but in spite of the negativity that people direct his way over matters that are long since over and done and were nobody’s business in the first place. I just enjoy seeing him go along doing his thing, hot as ever, interesting as ever, talented as ever.
He is such an all-around talented guy.
He is musical - he plays the piano, the guitar and the sax. Raff plays the drums and even writes songs together with his half-brother.
He is also athletic - he plays soccer and enjoys watching tennis and other sports. He is also a good chess player. (I love that. My hubby is a very good chess player and plays in tournaments)
He is also very smart. He might not have gone to college but is a voracious reader and it shows in his interviews. He is one of the very few actors I enjoy watching in interviews. Another one is Kevin Spacey.

Rafferty is not Jude’s oldest son. Jude adopted her ex-wife’s biological son- Finlay (now 19-years old), so he is also his son, both formally and mentally (as I guess). Maybe that’s not so important but to me it sounds like you’d say that Shiloh is Brad and Angelina’s oldest daughter.

Jude didn’t adopt Finley. Gary Kemp is still very much involved in Finley’s life and good friends with Jude.
Finlay’s last name is Kemp; if Jude had adopted, it would be Law.

The leather shirt is fantastic. It’s made by a designer which is now defunct. It was produced in very limited quantities, extremely rare. Jude would have got it around 4 years ago.

Mmmm.. I think Jude looks great as always but he seems very relaxed too, which may be because of Hamlet. I do agree with you though Sheryl - I think he is, as he has always been. It’s great to see him out and about with Jonny and it’s always lovely to see him with Raff who I think it turning into quite a handsome little man himself. Sorry, I’ve read at a few different sites that Jude adopted Finlay, so I thought this was true. I forgot for a moment that I shouldn’t believe in anything I read at celebrity sites.

@ Liliana: Well, sometimes truth is mixed in on those sites, but it’s hard to tell sometimes. I’ve just noticed that Jude has never referred to Finlay as his adopted son in interviews, nor has Sadie, and I’ve seen pictures of Jude and Gary together with the boys on outings. Plus, Finlay does go by Kemp.
@Pole: Yes, Raff is quite a handsome young man. People making ugly comments about kids (like comparing Suri and Shiloh, for instance) is probably the reason why Jude protects them so fiercely. People can be so dumb.

I think all of Jude and Sadie’s kids are cute and I’m pretty sure they’ll all end up being good looking like their parents. I think it’s pretty lousy sitting behind a pc and dissing on KIDS like that.

@ Pole, I’m sure Rafferty has already been taught to deal with small-minded nasty people, to some degree. I’d say he has more respect and manners than a lot of cowards who hide behind anonymous identities.

You’re probably right. To me Jude and Sadie seems like great rolemodels concerning co-parenting post-divorce and parenting in general. It seems they both - and Jude perhaps especially - want the children to have very normal lives. I’m sure that must help them staying grounded when confronted with silly people who doesn’t think twice about this sort of behaviour.

My god, I’m sorry. I just looked up fugly in Urban Dictionary. I did not mean that at all! My friends and I use the word fugly to describe funny facial expressions like Rafferty’s in the 8th picture. I understand if you don’t believe me, but that is completely true. I do not think he is ugly.

rafferty is a beautiful boy…as rien said we have no way of knowing how he will look at 20 but rest assured his father and mother probably have to keep the girls from breaking his door down. if he isn’t cute i don’t know what is…if you look at jude when he was 10 or 11 there was no way that we would have guessed how extraordinarily beautiful he would turn to be. also i think people who berate young children’s looks on the internet have serious problems within themselves. it’s just just not nice and if they don’t understand that…..then there’s their problem.let’s all look into ourselves before we’re so quick to judge.

Please, Laura, Raff is only a child, (just a stage he is going through), but, unfortunately for them, may be considered the awkward stage of life if they not get the support they really need when they’re going to become a teenage with teen hormonal issues and stuff and then you’re not actually helping, are you?
In my personal opinion, no doubt that little Raff will turn out to be a very handsome guy.

There are plenty of others so it is possible for them to have perfectly private lives. As for whether Raff is going to be beautiful or not that’s obviously a very subejctive discussion - I think he is, you don’t. It’s opinions, not facts. I do think he looks a lot like Jude though and I also think that he looks a lot like Rudy (or the other ways around) and that Sadie is pretty. But again - it’s opinions, not facts we’re discussing here.

Raff looks a lot like his mother, but he also reminds me a lot of Jude when he was very young (e.g. in Shoscombe Old Place where he played the stable boy). Jude was around 14 then, or 16?
Raff is a very good-looking boy, IMO. Of course he’s got his dad’s genes. Beautiful all around.

I think all three have a little of both parents but I think they all will end up looking great - they’ve got good genes after all. We should all be so lucky! Raff is at a different stage than Rudy obviously - but I think he’s a cutie.

I once saw Jude, Sadie, Finlay, Raff and Baby Iris years ago in Santa Monica. He was in LA filming A.I. and Sadie just gave birth to Iris.
Jude was pushing the buggy with Iris in it with the 2 boys beside him. He seemed like a really wonderful father, attentive to the boys and so in love with his baby, you could just see it in his face.
Sadie is very pretty(she did not have any makeup on that time)and they looked like a very happy family then. Sigh.

i just wonder about posters on web sites who have to shout their opinions. is it the need for attention? yes everyone has a right to express themselves….this is america after all. however as i look at rafferty all i can see is a beautiful looking boy whose father happens to be jude law. when that child grows up he will be a very handsome man. i just hope he doesn’t read this particular jared post. ‘tho 98% of us agree that the boy is good looking…..the other posts could be hurtful. why someone needs to do that is beyond my comprehension. what i do think is we should put this subject to rest and concentrate on the original post of jude law and johnny lee miller enjoying wimbledon….. tennis anyone??????

Yes, I agree. I was just upset once since someone judged just by using the word “pathetic” when I was just refering to the “conversation” itself and not reffering to any person, and just because I’m generally confused most of the time of how using the right words, people get wrong! not that I wanted to stop posting here, but I’ve feeling that you all misunderstand me whenever I do any comments. I just want to continue posting, ’cause I love Jude Law and don’t want to take defensive everytime someone takes all wrong.

don’t worry about your english…..everyone understands that people come here from all over the world. we’re all jude lovers in any language.
as far as sadie and jude. what they are doing says alot to who they are. in some celebrity divorces one parent turns the children away from the other…..how foolish. in their own anger they are hurting their kids. jude from what i can see over the years is quite a deep feeling man and very ethical….he’s smart enough to understand that whatever separated them must never affect the lives of their children. hats off to both.

I know how you feel but I comfort myself with the idea that it’s probably his own choise not to have a girlfriend. Maybe he simply needs some time to just focus on himself, his kids and his job? The divorce was hard for them surely and I don’t think the relationship with Sluttiena was a picnic either. I can understand if he wants to take it slow. It’s better to be single than with the wrong partner..

twice burned…..jude rushed into a relationship (sadie) when he was 21……. jude loves a nest… a home. …he saw that with his parents. who are married over 40 years…the divorce was a horrible experience….he then fell into the arms of the ambitious sexy firecracker….s. miller and that went south. it was a terrible time for him…..now he’s taking baby steps trying not to do anything that will get his name in the papers again…..his first consideration are his children and how a relationship might affect them…..so he seems to be taking hiw own sweet time before he commits to anybody…i feel that he would like to have someone but i don’t think he’s as trusting as he use to be. of course for all we know he just might be in a relationship but if he is he certainly is keeping it under the radar.
