COME ON!!! YOU ARE ALL DEFFENDING RAFFERTY BECAUSE HE IS JUST A KID, BUT IM FREE TO SAY WHAT I THINK. WHEN JUDE HAD RAFFERTY’S AGE HE ALREADY WAS VERY GOOD LOOKING, BUT RAFFERTY HAS NO SIGN OF BEAUTY AT ALL! SO THERE IS NO WAY THAT HE CAN TURN INTO A BEAUTIFUL MAN! IN ADDITION, HE IS A CELEBRITY CHILD AND WANT IT OR NOT, HE IS ALREADY INVOLVED IN THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE FAME, HE CAN’T HAVE A NORMAL LIFE’S KID, FOR EXAMPLE: THE PERSECUTION OF THE PAPARAZZI, THE NEWS ABOUT JUDE SUCH AS THE CASE THAT HE HAD AN AFFAIR WITH THEIR OWN CHILDREN’S NANA… DON’T YOU THINK THAT RAFFERTY ALREADY KNOWS TOO MUCH? WHAT DIFFERENCE IT MAKES IF I SAY THAT HE IS NOT CUTE? IT WOULDN’T LET HIM MORE TRAUMATIZED THAN BEFORE!

@Sara, the fact that such a conversation was started at all is what’s ridiculous. See #77 and #78…that’s why.
Your words were nice…the fact that you had to say them in response to such nonsense is what’s ridiculous.

So because the paps and the press follow Raff (and the other kids) because of their parents choises it’s perfectly a-ok for us to talk about them like they chose this life for themselves? I think I’m just going to have to disagree with you on that one.. I think the kids should always be left out of the discussions especially when their parents try to keep them out of focus as Jude clearly does. It’s not like he’s parading his kids around like Tom Cruise is.

And really - I don’t think there’s any reasons for using caps. Just like you voice your opinion, so’s the rest of us ;-)

Sara, please read my last post again and try to get off it, okay? I didn’t say you didn’t have the right to comment, and if you read closely, you’ll see that. Fact is, you don’t sound nice to me either, so looks like we’re even.

if you had a child and for some reason or other people were deriding his looks would that hurt or bother you? i just don’t think it’s appropriate to debase a kid on the internet for the world to see. i wish people would be a little kinder…..we’d have a better world.

Laura - I wrote you before but it cdissappeared somehow and I would like to say that although you have a total right to your opinion you began SHOUTING and continued in a very derogatory tone. You removed yourself from simple amenable discussion which we all
have here and although we express our oopinions we don’t take
the attitutde that we are all-knowing and the only one that could be right. That attitude doesn’t get one any place in this world and you
seem to be inacapable of learning to listen to any one else . In the
early days I think Jude was proud of his children and not as well
known but dealing wiht all the problems of divorcedt parents and a
career thay takes you all over the world and far away from your kids I ithink he has done marvelously well. As for Raff, he is making a couple of faces here (which all younger teens do and I’m
sure everyone who commented on his looks thought also of the
tlast times we saw pictures of Raff in Brooklyn and in Brazil on
vacation - he us a very good-looking boy with the beginnings of mature handsomeness that bears more than a simple resemblance
to his father. Yes there are H’wood kids we have neve seen, Ewan’s
Mel Gibsons, etc. They all live in out=of=the=way places but Jude wants to live in Loidon because he wants a certain kind of education
for his children and he wants to stay in the same neighborhood he has been in since he was with Sadie. He Has the right to decide his life. The paps do not have the right to attempt to destroy it. And Raff
has the right to expect not to be picked apart in malice for some un-
explained reason. THis subject has been beaten to deanth and fully’
explained and laid to rest. Laura, if you don’t like our opinions or any part of our loive and appreciation for Jude - the internet is large, GO ELSEWHERE! Repeating yourself will gain you notying heere.

Yikes, some of the comments here are waacko.

Raff looks a lot like his mother, but he also reminds me a lot of Jude when he was very young (e.g. in Shoscombe Old Place where he played the stable boy). Jude was around 14 then, or 16?

Raff is a very good-looking boy, IMO. Of course he’s got his dad’s genes. Beautiful all around.

The way Jude is looking at his boy… amused in a fatherly way. I would guess Jude and the woman next to him were discussing Raff, and Raff is pretending he doesn’t care hehe.

@Amy #93 — Love your comment. So true! It is sweet of Jonny to support Jude in Hamlet. I wonder if Jonny is still living in LA.

thx jared ..for jude..everyone..there is no such thing as an ugly child..every child is beautiful even if they were born deformed.they are beautiful bcos they are innocent and pure.Never ever say a child is unbeautiful..never..!..at one point we were all children n one day we will be old and be beautiful,.Lynne, apology accepted.

I once saw Jude, Sadie, Finlay, Raff and Baby Iris years ago in Santa Monica. He was in LA filming A.I. and Sadie just gave birth to Iris.

Jude was pushing the buggy with Iris in it with the 2 boys beside him. He seemed like a really wonderful father, attentive to the boys and so in love with his baby, you could just see it in his face.

Sadie is very pretty(she did not have any makeup on that time)and they looked like a very happy family then. Sigh.
