‘New Moon’ Book Cover Revealed!
Check out the cover for the movie tie-in edition of New Moon, the Twilight franchise’s second film.
UK publisher Little, Brown Book Group revealed the Taylor Lautner-Kristen Stewart cover to EW.

Kristen Stewart looks high again. Not a surprised there. She has drug eyes. Maybe she will learn more than one facial expression one day! Taylor looks awesome!
Sorry to be the party pooper but I actually HATED the whole Jacob/Bella storyline. I wanted them to be bestfriends and that’s it. If you met your soulmate you would not be torn to date anyone else. Period. Forevermore you would only have eyes for your beloved. To me this felt like a money making opportunity to stretch out the books. Jacob needed his own true love and after Twilight the other books just irked me. This book wasn’t about your everyday run of the mill love, it was suppose to be about a supernatural love. Supernatural love has no room for 3rd parties.

i hated it. in new moon bella and jacob dont come this close. in Eclipse there is a love triangle; new moon is about edward leaving bella and all the drama.

UNF on the Lautner hotness. Moonward floating up there in the sky gives me the heebie jeebies. And there WAS a love triangle because if Edward hadn’t come back, Bella would have admitted her love for Jacob.

Hmm…not really liking the cover. It bothers me that the picture hardly reflects the book. Clearly, the book is more about Bella dealing with Edward’s absence (and eventual reuniting) and Jacob’s blooming FRIENDSHIP, not anything MORE than that. Nothing happened between Bella and Jacob in New Moon (and nothing should’ve EVER happened between them, but that’s a different argument I guess). To me, the books were always about Bella and Edward’s love…and Jacob was always a little pesky immature child that kinda got in the way.
Anyway…nice pic, but dislike it because it doesn’t reflect the book.

Love new moon! It added color to the Twilight saga. I would have never reached book three if they were ALL about how beautiful the Cullens were and how much she never wants to age.
@KIARA: LOL, well aren’t you a wild one! Nope, not for me. No threesomes, no toys, nothing going places where they weren’t meant to go. I’m very vanilla. So nope I don’t like it. I’m too conservative for that sort of excitement. Three is definitely a crowd to me. And I don’t consider that a narrow view point either. But by all means, I don’t judge, you go and be as wild as you want. Entertaining 2 me :~)
@silentsophi: I actually didn’t mind the triangle, I disliked how torn she was about it though. Because by book 3 she was full on having a cryfest all night over Jacob while Edward held her in his arms. The whole scenerio skeeved me out, I was turning green with queasiness reading through it. I actually put the book down and said “YUCK” outloud.

i love all the strong opinions and debates about the saga :D its fun to see all the different point of views and see how other people felt about the books. for me, i thought the books wouldnt have been as good as they were if jacob wasnt in the picture. there were more emotions to feel and more things to think about with the “love triangle”. although i DID NOT like the jacob and bella kiss, i still like that i was so into the book that i got mad.
good to see they spent all of $5 on this movie. hahahahaha..

@silentsophi: Well she’s crying over one guy’s love while another one is holding her. Kind of disrespectful to the one holding her. And really, if you were in love with one man would you cry THAT hard over the other one? This chick was truly in love with 2 people at once. I can’t wrap my mind around that. But on another note, I loved the scene in book 3 where she was in the sleeping bag with Jacob and he was keeping her warm with her body heat. Weird that Edward was watching it though. Shades of threesome or voyerism there. BUT what I wouldn’t give to be naked in a sleeping bag with that guy! Privately of course. He can warm me up with his body ANY time :D
@keyla: Yes I did read it. And I was happy about that in book 4 but in book 3 before I knew I didn’t like it. I wonder how they are going to translate it to the movie though. The poster looks like he’s all over her. And actually I would rather have a hot lusty Jacob after me rather than the cold reserved Edward. I guess I would rather be Renesme than Bella.
@vALENTINA: True, he did dump her. And she had the right to move on. And actually I really hated that part of the book too. If he really loved Bella he would not have dumped her. So that part of the book just made the love story more…OMG I just realized…I don’t think I really like these books or the story. Like eating something really tasty but then getting a disgusting after taste. Well that just spoiled my night. I think I actually hate all of it.
Book 1=I love Edward
Book 2= Edward turns into a p*ssy that doesn’t know what he wants. Jacob goes after Bella like a real man should.
Book 3=I’m wishing Bella would dump the p*ssy for Jacob, permanantly.
Book 4=It’s so different in style I’m wondering if Stephenie actually wrote it.
And to cap it all off: If I rang the dinner bell and said “come and get it” Jacob would dive right in, polish it off, finger licking good. Edward would politely unfold his napkin and make sure his food groups didn’t touch each other. When I serve my man I like to see him eat with relish. And thats all I’m saying about that.

I think you guys are missing the point of this cover. Jacob is hovering protectively over Bella. Bella is holding Jacob with one hand because she needs him but pushing him away with another because she will always love Edward.

Bella really doesnt like Jacob in a romantic way. Throughout the whole book she is thinking about Edward and using Jacob to help her feel less alone.

I kinda agree with Nisa. Well not that I hate Jacob in the book. I just believe there never was a triangle. Look at Breaking Dawn, everything is explained. Jake belongs with Renesmee, he never loved Bella in that way. He always longed for the child within her.
But I kinda like the book cover. Though I would have liked it if Edward had a more prominent place on the cover. But having him in the background, resembles the pain and longing Bella had for him.
So they did quite a good job!

Seriously? You girls are getting too worked up. It’s just a book! People are entitled to their own opinions, and you should respect that, even if it isn’t the same as your own. A lot of people love the Twilight storyline, but it’s not required that everyone has to. Respect diversity and quit showing your stupidity.

okay, first thought: no way! but someone said that it looked like she was pushing away, and that person was right. i still think jacob is way too dominant. but how edward is portraited, amazing. not really there, but for always in her thoughts

@fizzypop > Nisa: I don’t like the confusion. She should know who she has feelings for. Which one of them? There are two, there were always two from the beginning. One of them she started having strong feelings for and that is the end of the story. It makes it too weird to have both of them hanging around her and her not knowing who her feelings are for. It’s like things are going along ONE way then BAM out of left field in book 2 and 3 a 3rd party is revealed and you wonder about where that came from, how long was that love there (if that was what it was?) Was she in love with Jacob the whole time and just didn’t realize it? Maybe Edward was never for her? Too confusing. I’m simple. So I don’t like it. I like what you see is what you get. Not suprise pop out of the cake type of love.

i don’t like this cover that they put on New Moon, i would really prefer the originals better, and this cover doesn’t even go well with the book, in New Moon it talks all about how Edward leaves Bella, and how she trying to cope with it,the ” love triangle ” is in eclipse, and there is no real love triangle at all in the series. and in this poster it looks like Bella is trying to push Jacob away. And i think the tattoo on Jacob just looks weird….
