Daniel Craig Builds His ‘Dream House’
James Bond star Daniel Craig is in early talks to star in the psychological thriller Dream House, reports THR.
The flick will be helmed by Jim Sheridan, who directed 50 Cent in 2005’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’ and Daniel Day-Lewis in 1997’s The Boxer.
Craig, 41, would play a man who moves his family to an idyllic small town, only to find his house haunted by its former inhabitants, who were murdered there.

I love horror flicks. Good ones at least. Not crap, like Saw, but really scary intense psychological stuff, like 28 Days later or the Shining, which interestingly, this plot sounds reminiscent of. Hope not, hope there’s a unique twist. novel, not rehashed. Otherwise he should just suck it up and do a romantic comedy. Worked for Gerald Butler. Oscar winners Ralph Feinnes, and Tom Hanks did them. Love Sleepless in Seattle. He should pick a good script…while he’s still young enough….

Leaving top London eaterie The Ivy by the back door last night, Daniel Craig looked a little shaken and stirred with uncharacteristically messed up hair and a huge pimple right between his eyes.
Zit’s plain to see the James Bond star was keen not to be seen looking somewhat less than dapper. But as one of the world’s biggest film stars, sticking a paper bag over your face isn’t really the done thing when acne attacks.

If he will do I don’t see it positively. crap title, crap movie- like Quantum of Solace. FOAF is strange title and was not accepted. Other British actors do better than Daniel and more they have big careers and fame in the US (Bale, Butler, Meyer). I hope Daniel will not receive this project Dream House and he will have a look at more scripts. He makes pack of strange projects last time and even a good movie like Defiancé became loser at box office. Daniel got and still gets strange projects - offers althought as to his big acting he deserves better, he should get another Layer Cake or Munich. Although that film looked good on paper but after change of directors and mutliple re-shoots, it became total garbage. (Kidman’s lack of acting talent there didn’t help either).
He needs to choose diligently and as he stated once, he really doesn’t get many good scripts because he’s Bond, just more crap ones.
He needs to maybe move back to Indie films. But as you all know, H/Wood is fickle and he needs to keep himself in the BIG flow. This is when mistakes happen and actors panic and take any old thing just to either:
a) make money (which I’m sure he does not need and/or
b) to let people know they are still alive and have a viable bankability thus reinforcing to themselves they are still wanted.

To 60-i think his goal is to get a successful non-bond, lead in a movie. I also think celebs spend a great deal of money to maintain their lifestyle (the gf obviously requires major maintenance) so they need lots of money. If he does not prove he is a success actor outside of Bond now chances are he never will. I think he is gorgeous but he has not aged well; his days of “sex symbol” are diminishing.

I see the date on this article is Sept 2005 just after the Jude Law Nannygate and after Daniel was seeing Satsuki.
(They were spotted together first in August 2005.)
Most likely they had a fling together (Daniel and Sienna) although I did hear that Sienna was trying to make Jude jealous so was using Daniel and being a man, Daniel was oblivious.
She was doing a play herself then in the West End if I remember.
She was staying at her Mum’s as Sienna was chucked out of Law’s place after Law found out she was seeing Daniel.

He and his friend are waiting on the beach, looking back at the pap. Daniel WAITS until sats arrives, hence I believe he is WAITING for her to take charge. She does and says no video sweetheart. But then there is a DISTINCT cut-off on the sound and we do not hear sats again because this second half of that video is a SECOND separate encounter and she is NOT present. This second part is the part where he is alone and tells the guy if he doesn’t stop shooting he’ll throw the camera in the water. A source close to 32-year-old Law told the Mail: “Jude is devastated and depressed; he is not in a good state right now. Sienna’s friendship with Daniel has always made Jude nervous but he cannot believe that she has done this to him - especially as she always goes on about the importance of monogamy.
“A friend told Jude about the fling last week and when he confronted Sienna she admitted it was true. He is just so low and feels as though he has bent over backwards trying to win her trust and this is how she has repaid him.

I assume it’s an American thing to discuss the “drinking”. A country, in which alcohol is sold in a brown paper box, but guns apparently over the counter….
In Europe it’s not a big deal. And I’m not talking about excessive alcohol use. He enjoys his beer and guinness from time to time and a glas (or two and even three) of wine or Bollinger, too. So what? He would not be able to get in such a gorgeous shape in such a short time, even not with a personal coach, if he would drink excessively. And that “drinking in front of his daughter”, well she’s 16 years old. In most parts of Europe kids at that age (16 or 17) are allowed to drink beer, wine or cider in public e.g. at a restaurant.
But I’ve never seen a pic or heard something about him being really drunk (and that means staggering and being agressiv or unable to speak)

My favourite scene in Defiance was just after Dan had killed the guy who was responsible for the death of his parents. His facial expression - one between triumph and loathing - was amazing. He conveys so much with his eyes!

Defiance has to be separated–cut to pieces for me to really appreciate it. The actors were well chosen–so great to watch. The story–it had to be told whether or not it was bottom line factual because little is known about this…. The cinematography was distracting…the forest was too “clean” and abundant for me….the colors were the same, there was no change…his eyes were always shining and beautiful in the dark and dirt. The brothers fight should have been more intense. The religious aspect was great in understanding the raw emotions—I can’t go into that..too much politics there. But it was great to hear the rabbi angry because I always wondered why people go to their death praising their god…anyway. Everything was predictable for me because I have seen so many of these movies and because I read about it and saw all the photos before watching it. this may or may not have ruined it for me. People who don’t know DC said it was excellent (the woman at the video store, my relatives..) So, I guess with all the WW 2 movies released at this time, this movie was excellent. Really, what was the controversy…what could NOT have been possible?

I have read it somewhere, one person said about Daniel he is without ego, then people from Czech republic working on Casino Royale said he is very ordinary and talks normally and he has no star manners. Daniel said in interview he hates star manners and he doesn’t stay in his smell badly caravan, he preferably goes to the set and helps with some things. He said: “Why should I stay in caravan? Coming back to the earlier discussion on people surrounding Dan - he doesn’t just have Ella, but his Mum and family - they seem pretty grounded people from what he said in interviews; he also says that he still keep in touch with his old friends. So it seems, he has that balance. However, there are plenty of flatterers and ‘enablers’ in the entertainment industry, and he’s only human, he makes mistakes like everybody does, and might trust the wrong person/s.

I agree-Daniel does seem to get nervous at premiers. Again, i think that is another reason he keeps the gonk around. He seems to be comfortable with familiar things and does not like change. He does not seem happy or in love with the gf but she is part of his routine. Too bad as he seems pretty miserable when he is with her.
The gf has flashed a diamond ring for years and most certainly expects a marriage, baby, etc. I think part of Daniel’s misery comes from being nagged to make it legal. If he does not marry her he can just walk away any time he feels like and is not obligated to pay her anything.

i would say being so wasted in public like at Nobu, clearly three sheets to the wind, and this week at Ivy that his hair was even a fright does not indicate someone who’s “not miserable.” If anything, I would say it makes him look even more unhappy than he did at beginning of year. At beginning of year, he claimed new years rez he was giving up the drink, and it looked like he had given up drinking, and except when pissed off at her, he did look happy at St B. things seemed to go bad for him in March-ish. Maybe lack of work, but with the play and this new movie, you would think that would make him happy–with his career at least. To me, in the Ivy pics he was so wasted it looked like someone had their hand at his back to keep him steady. and for a dandy who dresses to the nines, wearing even a kerchief in his pocket, for his hair to be in that state…If he was sober, (or when he got sober later and reveiwed the pics), i’m sure he looked at those piics and went ouch, how ebarrasking. . He seems to me to be slowly deteriorating before our eyes. And i don’t think that’s a zit. I think he got hit, or tripped into a door, because that zit has left a red band across the bridge of his nose, and it looks like the red band is also continuing over in a straight line to his right cheek–which zits don’t do. This is the second time his face has been messed up in less than a year. And the shoulder injury, which EON even took time to deny happened on Bond. Agree with you-he looks more miserable as the year goes on. This is supposed to be a relaxing time (without movie commitments) yet he is drunk, has no smiles, and is running away from the gonk. To me it is obvious that his personal life is not in a great emotional state. I also think it is not a zit but a bump of some kind.

Yes, he has had a scar there, you can even see it in Some Voices, and in some shots in Defiance, but the scar is not red, has never been red, is NOT a “red band” and is barely noticeable, just a raised ridge at best. This red band ” zit” is FIRST noted only in the most recent Ivy pics from last week. In all the pictures from the last 10 yrs, no mention of zit, or even his scar, except by himself in interviews. THIS red band in the Ivy pics extends from his nose TO his right cheek, and looks like a healing bruise, from either being smacked, or smacking in to a wall. This is just like the weirdness surrounding the “injury”…having a sudden black eye at the same time he’s first seen in a sling…and it was AFTER the sling that he first started looking miserable. Look at the pics of him at STW yesino bash in October 2008. He looked like he wanted to cry when he was hugging STW, and he looked even MORE teary eyed when he was pictured standing with Sats at that event. And since, more often than not, he looks tense when pictured with Sats. His demeanor CHANGED beginning after the date he was first pictured in the sling. At times so sad you want to cry yourself. Tense. Not as confident. And just plain miserable, in increasing doses. And this last bunch of Ivy pics, where *I* say he looks like his faced got knocked again, he looks like he’s zoned out, not mentally or emotionally present. total escapism mode.

In regards to the shoulder injury, at first he said it happened while filming, until EON denied this, and he had to scramble for a different “reason”. If this was an “old” injury, he could NOT have done the stunts for the last movie, let alone the stunts from CR. IF the injury was TRULY that old, he would have had it fixed in between movies at least. His changing story and the fact it was ACCOMPANIED by a BLACK EYE, leaving some to speculate bar fight, or knocked around by SOMEONE, is what suggests the story about it being an old injury is just plain PR. He worked with Daniel, Anthony Hopkins, Johnny Depp, Jerry Bruckeimer, Michael Bay, Stone, Hugh Jackman, Edward Norton, Elijah Wood, Owen Wilson, Angie Jolie and many actors who worked in Czech. Matthew gave larger interview about his work, co-operating with producers, directors and actors, and didn’t forget for people working on the set - sound engineer,etc he said Bruckheimer gave him good advice about financing films, Norton stimulated his head, Wilson makes smile people and Daniel holds his interest with his muscles/biceps. hmmm, Daniel is takes interest with his muscles…

You probably have no idea how right-on you are. But the most obvious response one would say is, “Well he’s the man, why does he stay and take it? Why doesn’t he do something about it then?” Or “what kind of a wimp is he?”
I think the individual (whoever this may be),who is doing this damage may have Daniel ‘over a barrel’, as a matter of speaking and the situation may be very complicated, not so easy or quick to extricate oneself from.

Now if he had a nose job, or eye lift or some other plastic surgery, then it would look that way with the black eyes.

Does he wear reading glasses? it kinda looked like a line and if irritated it could have looked as if it were a cut. BUT, if he were hit at that spot and it injured the bridge, there would be subsequent bruises elsewhere–that is a sensitive spot to be injured.
If he is training again….all parts of the body are subject to injury no matter what age…he could have been scratched by 1000’s of different types of equipment or a bar fall on his face or shoulder from a misstaken trainer. Interesting-totally agree-real freedom is having your own money and identity. I suppose you have not realized that at several NY theaters a play is not shown EVERY day in the week. So it will be easy to plan beforehand to NOT show the play arround TFF-time.

Yes I have realized that but a lot of people don’t. They seem to think he will do the play every night for his contract. I have stated all along that actors either do not do the full course or they have time off for varying reasons but my posts have been met with outrage that the audiences would be appalled that he would take even a night off to go to the TFF.

I agree with the Farrah theory. I think they got married fairly recently and maybe they decided to not wear rings for awhile to give them some time to get used to it and not cause a press invasion but the death of Farrah might have made them both realize that indeed, life is too precious to not to wear rings because of being dicted too by the press and public reaction.
