Madonna Gives Mercy a Piggyback Ride!
Madonna gives her newly adopted daughter Mercy a piggyback ride after attending services at the Kabbalah center in London, England on Saturday (June 27).
Earlier in the month, Malawi courts finally granted Madonna the opportunity to adopt Mercy after much legal wrangling.
Also pictured below is Guy Ritchie spending time with son, David Banda, in London on Friday (June 26).

Please. Her brother has said that she only adopted these children for publicity.
She needs to stop trying to compete with Jolie. ONE Jolie is plenty for the world. :P

As a very proud Malawian I congratulate Madonna on this because, in my opinion, she has just given a child the opportunity for a better life. When you look at how these children suffer back home (Malawi), you can’t help but wish someone would do something to help. She has strong ties to Malawi and those two kids will therefore always have that connection to Malawi. My one concern is obviously the fact that Mercy’s father claims to still want her. In all honesty if Mercy does stay with him, in a couple years that child will end up back in an orphanage or worse.
This, however, should not indicate that all Malawian orphans can be bought or easily handed over to anyone. And there is still plenty to be debated on this issue ofcourse.
I’m still and always will be Proudly Malawian!!

This pic of Madonna with Mercy is just adorable…petite mercy has a peacefully look..how can u can be against the happiness of a little girl!!! Only Madonna could offer her a real future…Thank God,those judges had some good sense of reality!!!

I don’t understand the connection between white, bimbo americans with african babies. They treat them like diamonds being drop from the sky. I’m not against it because i’m fine with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt adopting gazzilion kids, but come on fighting and going to court just to get ONE FREAKING BABY. It’s abit too ridiculous and not forgetting who’s gonna adopt the other starving babies? RIDICULOUS!

I’m SO happy Madonna got to adopt this little girl. She’s going to have such a great life now because she has a wonderful family to take care of her.

I applaud Madonna for what she is doing. She is always going to attract controversy because there are people who object to what people like Madonna is doing because they are racist, they feel black kids don’t deserve good life, it is better for them to die in orphanages and some completely consumed with jealousy for the type of life these children will get to experience. I am happy Madonna and others don’t let things like racism deter them from offering these children opportunities in life. She should be commended for loving and offering a home to these poor children. I was never a fan of hers, liked some of her earlier music but I admire her for her charity work and having a good heart, having the guts to fight for what she believes and that she succeeded in adopting Mercy. It is one life saved from a life time of misery and that is good.

That’s not true. He never said that and he hasn’t even spoken to her in years! He doesn’t even know David and David’s been with them for nearly 3 years.
Her family approved of the adoption and signed the papers.
I don’t know why everyone wanted this girl to live her life in an orphanage, now she has a family and siblings. By the way, Rocco, David, and Lola were all there together with Madonna and Guy.

If Mercy’s family could have taken care of her, she wouldn’t have been in an orphanage. Unless orphanages work differently in Africa kids are supposed/allowed to get adopted.
A child in need is a child in need no matter where she lives. Mercy’s family in Malawi did NOT want her, not until Madonna wanted to adopt her that is. If they wanted her why was she in an orphanage with none of them bothering to visit her? They probably smelled money after Madonna wanted to adopt her. She will have a much better life now.
