R.I.P. Michael. I love you with all my heart and always will. Words cannot describe the loss for this world, but you will continue to make it a better place from heaven. Nobody can hurt you anymore, but you will live forever. Much love.

I know it is a shock he died and very young. . .but Farrah Fawcett passed also, from a long battle with cancer, and she is not being honored like this.

Michael made a huge impact on the music industry, but his personal life was a mess. The media was NEVER this nice to him when he was alive. He was joke, and that is sad.

R.I.P you will be greatly missed

Ok, I would hardly call that sharing the cover– she’s a speck in the corner! I would rather not be pictured at all than to be placed like this.

# 5

That’s a very good picture of him. <3 RIP Michael.

im pissed that michael’s death is overshading farrah’s.. farrah was an amazing sex symbol! RIP

Farrah Fawcett never had one percent as much influence on TV or films than Michael Jackson had on music. Plus, Jackson’s death was a shock for being totally unexpected, whereas poor Fawcett had been dying for at least two years and the end was expected any day.

Aww I love this pic, he’s gorgeous!!
R.I.P Michael, you are with angels now.

He changed the music world irrevocably and will always be The King!! Love U Michael.

It’s a gorgeous picture, as is the one coming out on Time Magazine’s cover.

No disrespect to Farrah meant. She and Ed were honored for who they were too.

Michael’s loss is palpable and his music will live on and on.

im pissed that michael’s death is overshading farrah’s.. farrah was an amazing sex symbol!

Michael Jackson was an Icon. Michael set such high standards for anyone that is in the music industry. I mean let’s face it, there will never be anybody that could ever come close to accomplishing what he did. As sad as I am about Farrah Fawcet she never had the impact on the movie and T.V industry as Michael had on the music industry. Ed McManhon died a few days ago and you don’t hear anything about him. Michael Jackson’s death is an absolute tradgedy and he will be greatly missed. Michael just can’t be compared to anyone. I truly hope that the media will be a lot kinder to him in death then they were when he was alive. Love you MIchael. You will never be forgotton. R.I.P

Michael Jackson was a gifted musician you will see once in a lifetime. We will miss him. The jesse jacksons and al sharptons will be coming out of the wood work now. Sigh.

Michael Jackson completely changed the face of the music industry with his songs. He brought about fashion trends, new dance moves, hairstyles, etc. He had a prolific 40 year career in the music industry. Farrah Fawcett was the sex symbol of the 70’s who created a frenzy for her Charlie’s Angels hairstyle. I’m not sure why it’s even a question as to why he’s getting more coverage then her? We all knew Fawcett’s end was soon as she documented her courageous fight against cancer but Jackson’s death was a devastating blow- hence all of the media coverage!

Pining for Chris @ 06/27/2009 at 6:48 pm

Look Farrah isn’t being honoured like this because she didn’t make as big of an impact as Michael did. Plain and simple.

Don’t think if MJ died a different time, Farrah would have had AS big of a send off. Half the people I know, don’t even know who she is. I agree with Jill, people saw this coming with her.

This is the most ridiculous comment I’ve ever read ! Farrah Fawcett was a legend herself. And on top of that, she suffered greatly from a disease called cancer. Shame on you for posting such a heartless comment.

I’m over this now.

Enough already

I think this is insulting to Farrah Fawcett and her memory-a small tiny picture on the cover. They should have had equal coverage on TV guide. What about Ed McMahon too.

thank you #18 @ 06/27/2009 at 6:55 pm

Thank you K #18. Shame on Jill indeed.
