Zac Efron Sails Into The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud

The more I hear about this movie the more I am intrigued by it. I find I have the same feeling about Vanessa’s new movie, Beastly. I know it is based on a fairytale but the updated version still sounds really interesting. I think the same about Sucker Punch too. However, I admit to liking things where it is all about the actors acting. The special effects—although I love action movies—can sometimes overpower the work of the actors. I do understand that Sucker Punch is suppose to be where the girls are actually doing the stunts though so that should be good. I think these two will really show people what they are made of in the next 18 months. I wish for them the best.

Frankly, I hope they change Zac’s look in the “St. Cloud” movie.

I think one thing Zac and his promoters/directors/producers need to do is make Zac fit the character he plays instead of making the character fit the image of “surfer dude” Zac. In “HSM3″ and “17 Again,” they made the characters into Zac. Both had Zac’s hair style, dressed like Zac, etc.

I hope they don’t do that in “St. Cloud.” I want them to do something so he won’t look exactly like Zac (like they did in “MAOW”). Even if they have to color his hair and cut it or have him wear dark contact lenses or even glasses and part his hair down the middle. And surely, a New England guy, working as a grave digger/cemetery caretaker will not be wearing his pants falling off his b-u-t-t with his underwear showing.

he really needs to cut his hair. i cant take him seriously as an actor if he keeps looking like troy bolton.

@Malia: I think they will give Zac’s character a somewhat rough look…not so much hard. I can see his hair being a bit longer than it is now, parted in the middle or side, with a scruffy beard, or like how he has on his face from time to time…definitely not his jeans falling off his but, but jeans no doubt…or low hipster khakis. He would look good with brown eyes, but I hope they keep them blue…I think they will look really expressive.

I think it is easier for Zac when he is going to do a movie is to let his hair grow because then the stylist can do what they want with it. It’s easier to make hair shorter but not so easy to make it longer if they want it real. He once said on the Ellen show that he usually just lets his hair grow between roles. I give Zac credit for just being Zac when he is not in front of the cameras and how he refuses to be someone else. However, it is time for Zac to pull those pants up a little and stop being as Malia says “surfer dude”. If he wants to be taken as someone who is an intelligent adult he needs to look the part a little more. Maybe he could compromise and at least wear his pants like he did for the HSM3 premieres all over the world. They weren’t up where most men would wear them but they weren’t looking like half of his butt would be showing if he didn’t have underwear on or that they would fall down if he bent over.

@Karen: ppl have to focus on his acting not on his life/daily routine. i don care more about his newxt choices, then he could waer what he wants.

He’s a very very very good looking man that does absolutely positively and completely nothing for me. It’s almost but not quite like he repels me? So strange because he is so nice and so very good looking. But hey, if he saw me it would be totatlly mutual so it’s all good.

Yes, I think Zac will age very nicely. He will always look younger than he is, but when he’s around 35, he will be a very handsome man.

By then, it will be “Director, Zac Efron.” :)

@Malia: Exactly!! Like Patrick Dempsey and Leo DiCaprio looked so young until their 30’s. This is a good thing, because he will have a longer career aging well.
