Michael Jackson’s Final Rehearsal Pictures
Two days before suffering a cardiac arrest, Michael Jackson goes through a run-through during his final concert rehearsal at the Staples Center on Tuesday (June 23) in Los Angeles.
The 50-year-old entertainer was rehearsing for his planned shows in London. After going into cardiac arrest on June 25, Michael later died at the age of 50 at UCLA Medical Center.
This concert looks like it would have been amazing. We’ll miss you, Michael!
On Sunday night, Michael’s younger sister Janet Jackson paid tribute to the King of Pop at the 2009 BET Awards.

I love watching him as a young man and then the dynamic powerhouse with the great voice and dance.
The artists of the day just don’t hold a candle to his talent and gifts. A born entertainer and a man with a good heart.

..but he looked happy to be on stage again. I think the pressure and the thought of “disappointing the fans” affected him. I read an article saying he felt helpless, cuz he couldn’t sing and dance like he used to.. he was very scared he would disappoint the fans or give a lousy performance and face that public humiliation..that’s a lot to bear up, all in addition to his frail health condition..
It’s so sad to see an amazing, talented man like Michael going through an emotional hell, as people stand down and watch his self-destruction.. I doubt no one knew he was troubled.. it’s just that no one cared enough to at least say “hi, how are you?” to him.

Now they dont dare cuz they see what they have missed. My 7 year olds sister loves his music also and THAT means something! His music was one of a kind, there will be no other person like him. He started something new and HUGE. Every single one artist who meant/means something in music business copied him in some way… But I hope hes on a better place now. RIP, Michael!

Why are people saying he was anorexic? Look back on MJ’s history and you’ll see he was always the same size. He was a skinny dude. @gGlam: that report was false. a lot of the people at the rehearsal said MJ “still had it” and the rehearsal was “electrifying” I think I’ll believe the people who were there instead of the people who are pretending like they knew him and what he was thinking/ feeling.

We loved Michael and my son was one of his greatest fans. We loved the Jacksons so much I named one of my children after the Jackson 5’s. Our heart goes out to the family and our prayers will be with you always. We are the world that loved Michael and we thank you very much for sharing him with us.
In the last few years I really haven’t gotten into his music…I’ll be honest. But, I am 36 years old and a lot of my child hood memories include him. He was a very talented and amazing singer and dancer. Part of my child hood died with him. :(

I understand you so well, living the life you had was hard. It wasn`t easy to trust people, you never knew if they liked you for you or for who you were and what they could benefit from being around you.
So many times i wished i could take you away from it all and protect you from this hard world.
I think you knew your faith, you died to young but you died at the top. I think you were happy at the end, the way you knew how to be happy: You gave everything to everyone else, you should have though of your self. I have always felt a connection to Michael Jackson from the time I was a little girl and saw him on tv to the las few years with the hardships he was having with people trying to make him look bad. So what he was a little wierd. We all are in our own ways. Look at his background and upbringing. He never really had a childhood thanks to his father. He was living his life thru the children he kept around him. They were all honest with him and that is why he had so many children as friends or made friends with children and kept them as friends for as long as he could.
I had my 10 year old son watch some of his videos and he was just loving them. He didn’t know about the moves, the songs, he loved them and know Michael has another fan.
We can all say we were his friends, but were we…. really?????
Did anyone ever stop to think…. Did we ever really imagine Michael as an old man?????

I am sure it would have been great like all of his previous concerts because he would only do a concert if he knew for sure that it was going to be great–greater than all of his other concerts–because that is the kind of entertainer he was. This whole “Michael looks frail business” is nonsense. Michael always was super skinny and frail looking. I saw the “Beat it” video over the weekend. My gawd he was like an x ray dancing that’s how stick thin he was but he blazed throught those rehearsals and that video.

Yeah, I agree with #25. It seemed people stood by and watched him self destruct. It seemed people didn’t pay him the right attention. I felt he wanted to be liked and wanted to like and to love others. The media/tabloids kept bashing him. I hated that.
You just don’t get it there bucko! What that person meant was the greedy Joe Jackson and probably even some of his brothers or a sister or two. Joe is a coniver and is what destroyed young Michael’s life growing up with his abuse…both Michael and LaToya have publicly stated that. The whole family is messed up because their father was such an ass and beat them into submission when they were all so young and innocent and impressionable. So “Money Train” is just what they would all want to get on…I predict that they will take every single opportunity to rig up every sort of public appearance, performance by some of the other brothers/sisters and anything that they can dream up to keep the “Money Train” rolling on down the track for many years to come. Michael was their “Money Train” and none of his brothers and only one sister, Janet, have ever had any success in entertainment…although they have surely tried over the years. I feel Micheal was exploited at every opportunity and it drove him inside himself and made a very lonely and reclusive person out of him as he grew older. He was such a naturally talented young man in so many ways and I think it was horrendeous how so many people always wanted some piece of him and now that he has passed from this painful world, they are still trying to ride on his coat tails. Especially his family and probably more people than we have any idea of are also trying to make their mark to get a piece of his fame even in death. How awfully sad and disgraceful!!! It all just revolves around the word, GREED!!!!! At least he is in peace now and doesn’t have to endure anymore pain and loneliness and sorrow or anger.
I feel really sad about Michael also, but I don’t think these are his pictures of him rehearsing for his tour. I head he had really short hair now.. and remember he parted it in the middle.
Even when the paramedics came. He was a lot thinner and also his hair was parted and on that one show you could tell it was a wig he was wearing.

I was so lucky to have seen him on the BAD, Dangerous and HiStory tour these concerts would have been the icing on the cake, I even jumped on his Limo in London and clinged on for 2 minutes back in 1992, I’m nearly 40 now and I am so proud to be a Michael Jackson fan but 5 days ago someone stole my childhood, something is missing in my life, it’s never going to be the same again

Michael looks so wonderful and u can see the light and fire in his eyes. I see no fraility in him or death on him 1 bit. I like 2 think of him going out a glowing magnetic star just as he came in and everyone could obviously see by d time he was 5 years old. He looked like him old self. Right before he died, I had been on a couple of webpages saying I hope he gets his curls back because it did wonders for his face! I’m glad he went back 2 that before he died! I agree with that. I do not know how ANYONE could look at him and think he looked healthy. Even with the recent appearance of weight gain, he could not undo the effects of years of poor health.
It is a shame that he was not able to give his final show to the world, he was an icon and will never be forgotten by his music and his support to humanity

My heart goes out to Michael’s family and his 3 children that he loved dso dearly. I can only hope that MJ will have the happiness after death that he was unable to find in his life here on earth. I have so many years of memories of seeing MJ coming up and making it so large. He will always live in his music.
I feel very worried about Michael’s 3 children being placed in a home with Joe Jackson. When Michael stated many times the abuse he endured at the hand of his father.. Where is Janet and LaToya when they were looking to someone to take custody of the children? Kathreen is 79 can those kids go through another loss in the near future?
Everyone says he got over it because he named his first son Michael Joseph Jackson.. While I’m sure that he actually named his on after himself not intending to give his father any respect in that aspect. Let’s all pray that the Angle of Heaven will be watching and protecting those children and let them grow up to be happy, healthy and normal children. I’m sure they will learn about their dads love for them along with his talents and greatness and his loving heart.

Michael Jackson was a wonderful performer, the consummate entertainer and we all loved him. I remember watching ‘Thriller”, with friends and it was the first music video we had ever seen. We were amazed and in awe of this new medium. Loved his talent and vision. MJ, you are greatly missed.

Im only 17 but he was a very inspirational icon to me, he had gone through so much in his life that it made me feel like i can overcome anything too. He certainly does not look like “skin and bones” on these shots as falsely reported as usual. To his credit , before anyone popular for doing so today, Michael Jackson was going to Africa and bringing attention to the needs of the families there. In the late seventies and early eighties while Bono and U2 were still barely rocking, George Clooney was combing his mullet and Brad Pitt was still in Missouri and Angelina was in kindergarten, Michael was in Africa and writing songs to benefit poor people all over the world. He took his own hard earned money and gave it to these people and their causes. It is good these celebrities have kept up the work he championed decades ago.

I was in LA on holiday and very near his home when he passed away. I was one of the people who dissmissed him as Whacko Jacko. Now I find myself admitting what a truly amazing talent Michael had and that he may have been the greatest of all time. He did not deserve to be taken so young at with so much still to give the world.
My apologies to Michael for not recognising his greatness until it was too late.
You will now be immortalised like Monroe, Lennon, Princess Di and JFK all of whom were taken too soon.

To me they look like statues….I hope and pray they are not and they are the real MJ and thats how he was right up to the end…have you looked at the pictures the photogs snapp most of the time he is smiling… lots his head is down or hes got a mask on but when he doesnt hes smiling …..I believe he was happy in his own way and yeah I believe he was frail and taking way to many drugs (prescribed b y a doc who probably did it for the money)…but he died doing what he loved singing and dancing or at least thats the last thing he did or so they say …we may never know truly……and maybe just maybe it was his time we had him for a short time on earth to enjoy his talents and now hes gone home to where he can do some more good..cause if he looked that frail with make up on I cant even imagine what he looked like without it….so now he can rest his time on earth is done lets remember him and the good he did the amazing talent he had and shared ……weird or not whos to say we are all not weird in are own way…and yes he did some things that were questionable….but the man is gone….dont pick over his bones he still has children left who probably thought the world of him….and vice versa…..they are the ones who now have to live with whatever the media comes out with remember them and what they have to endure I for one will not contribute to their future a horrible tribute to the only father they knew…….so rest in peace MJ….may you finally find peace and solace and you ge the rest you deserve….your legacy will live on..not only in your music but in your children as well….may angles wings speed your journey…and you rest well……you will be missed you will be remembered and you will always be the king of pop go easy man go easy
Too bad that Michael tortured himself that much…he rarely eats, too much cosmetics surgeries, too much painkillers, etc….if he only look at the brighter side of life, he would realize that he is a very good looking guy prior before and ruined it because of what he is doing with amazing talent too….
it’s too late for him to realize that the world loves him for what he is………wish he would be happy and peaceful now, wherever he is…and also wishing that his children would be loved and raise normally just like other kids….
From I was a child I always loved Michael Jackson and I always will.
There are allot of rumors out there, about him being addicted to prescription drugs and so on. Personally I think they should just leave it alone. The way I see it, people much younger have died from cardiac arrest, MJ was in excellent shape, but with all the long hours of rehearsals, pushing it to the limit, it tends to take a toll on the body. MJ was 50 years old, that’s middle age, he might have looked and performed like he was in his twenties, but he had a 50 year old heart. We are only human, in life these things happen. I wish he didn’t leave us so soon, but God is in control “it is what it is,” so please just let Michael Jackson Rest in Peace.

I have watched Michael and his family preform for meny yrs.all the way from Jackson 5 days to now as well as sister Janet when she started doing Good Times on TV.They all had kind of a rough life preforming at a very young age.But they were great and a lot was expected of them as young entertainers.All bad things should be left behind its no ones place to add negitivity to HIs memorie or his family now is his time to rest leave it be remember what he wasremember what he gave it was always more then he had and then some.RIP yours is a soul that will be truely missed and remembered blessings to the remaining Family GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU ALL IN GOOD FAITH well see him again some day

Something is fishy about the Kings of Pop’s death yeah he is skinny in those pictures but he was always a skinny guy just look at his Beat It video I wish that if there is a responsible of Micheal Jackson’s death that person should be brought to justice the authorities should be bringing light to the circumstances of The King’s death .

Jermaine burst out into tears after the conference, Janet was nearing tears on stage at BET awards, his mum apparantly cried in hospital, in fact she was the one who dragged on the CPR for over an hour…the only on thats actings strange is Joe Jackson. But i guess people grieve in different ways….

Regardless as to what faith he ultimately chose before his passing, I would like to share a video tribute I made of Michael - it’s for him and his fans. MJ was the most amazing singer / dancer and humanatarian that ever lived. It is a shame that he never really knew how many lives he touched when he was alive. People all over the world are sad, lost and have an empty spot in their hearts due to what we have lost. However, someone as amazing as him will live on forever in our hearts. He gave to those who had nothing. He gave many generations a variety of music to listen to, something for everyone, and he was always about everyone just getting along and living in peace. Now for the first time he is at peace. Total and complete peace with the great LORD above and he has the peace and love he has deserved always. May GOD be with his family and especially his 3 kids, that will need the LORD to help them through this time, and all the crazy publicity that is going on.For once I wish the news would leave the family alone so the kids can deal with the loss of their father and friend. If you browse a dictionary looking for the meaning of music and dance, the answer always flashes MJ, MJ and only MJ. He was such a talented and gifted singer and dancer and till todate, no one out there can perform like him. There was only one MJ and that is it!!!!! The feeling you get when you watch him performing live in concerts surely sends triggers and excitements down your spines which are unexplainable. Be it 3 years old or 60 years old, you can totally forget the rest of the world when you are in tune to his beats and moves!!! So thrilling….yes…yes..we love u so much Michael. I feel ill when i see joe jackson promiting his new record lable at the bet awards on the red carpet. In his son memory we should not buy anything his record company puts out. do this in memory of Micheals horrible child hood that scared him for life. His father has lived off of him long enought. I think is a discrase that a father would not be grieveing and conduct him self in a maner that fits a father losing his son. I am so saddened by this tragic and sudden death of MJ. I just have not wrapped my mind around the fact that he is no longer here anymore. I think that he looked really happy and healthy in those pictures and I think that it is so sad that he will never get to go on that tour or see his kids again. I really will miss Michael and I hope that his friends and family can remember a;; the good times and forget about all the bad media he’s getting. He was deeply worried that he was going to disappoint his fans. I think he may have wanted to die rather than embarrasing himself onstage. On June 24, Jackson’s last night on earth, he was scheduled to rehearse with his backup siongs at the Staples Center at 7:00. He arrived more than three hours late, and when he took the stage he seemed disoriented. “He was listless” reported one member of his entourage, adding that this was his normal state during the last few weeks when he bothered to show up at all. About his death, the aide stated, “This was not only predicatable, it was inevitable”.
I am a huge MJ fan and just like all his fans… I was saddened by the news of his death. I walked around dazed and confused thinking it just couldn’t happen like this. I constantly listen to his music and try to find updates when I have a free moment. I just can’t seem to comprehend this… So although I may sound like a complete crazed fool, I am having a hard time believing he is dead and that this is not a conspiracy. None of this is adding up at all. Looking back at all the information something is fishy somewhere. I would hate to think that it could be a hoax but I am wondering could this be possible?. truthfully I couldn’t blame him if it was. I know this sounds crazy and I am not saying I am 100% thinking this way but a small percent of me isn’t believing it. First of all the photo of him in the ambulance and the photo of him rehearsing is NOT the same person that is in the ambulance. He DID not have sideburns like the picture shows in the ambulance. Even going back and rewatching his announcement for the THIS IS IT TOUR, it does not look nor sound like the Michael Jackson I have heard in previous interviews. His family keeps talking about how frail and weak he was… Well then how could he have gotten a go ahead from the doctors that did their initial check up on him prior to AEG taking on this concert. If he was frail and week he would not have been able to move around like he did on that video! Then to top it off his family is saying his circle of people would not let them near him. So to me its just not adding up and leaves me with much uncertainity. Regardless, of the outcome MJ is and will always be an icon and no one will ever come close to his talent. I pray that he is at peace and I hope he knows how much his fans truly love him.
If you watch the press conference at 02 arena London on you tube you will see that Michael seemed upset. Look when he gets off the bus and starts into the building- When Michael get to- looks like a golf cart- Anyway, he seems to start to get in and if you notice he jerks his arm like seeming to say - Do not touch me or leave me alone- I do not know who the man is behind him but ,Michael seemed upset - Just the way he jerks his arm away- Seemed to me - he was not happy and seemed upset.Michael will always be the best entertainer - There will never be another entertainer like him. Rest in peace Michael
i really love you michael. hope that the person behind this terrible crime be ashamed of himself. up to now am still wishing that michael is not dead. i know that mj is now in heaven. mj is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there will be. no one will ever replace michael.
