Hilary Duff Joins Gossip Girl!!!

[start of rant] If they wanted decent ratings, they never should have f*cked up last season. They lost at least a MILLION viewers last season because of the idiocy in the writing department, and because Josh and Stephanie chose to give us Nair instead of Chair, and Dan and some sl*t and Nate “the manwh*re” instead of Derena or Serenate. And by Derena and Serenate I don’t necessarily mean them together as couples. Even some friendly interaction would have been nice. It was only in the finale that we finally felt the Non-Judging Breakfast Club’s energy return. The producers should have been banking on that energy throughout the season. Don’t even get me started on the full-fledged disaster that was 2×20.

I thought GG jumped the shark last season, but I at least was mildly relieved with the last couple of episodes. It was slowly starting to recover. But WOW. Hilary Duff? Who’s the casting director? I want him or her FIRED. Enough is enough. Now they’re just trying too hard. Reeling people in with bigger names? It doesn’t work. They tried that in season seven of the WB’s Sabrina, the Teenage Witch and it still wasn’t enough to save the show from crumbling. It was canceled.

Wow, this makes me hate the new season already. If they want the ratings to go up again, come up with some captivating storylines that people will gravitate towards, not move away from. HEAVILY advertise the Chuck & Blair relationship because, let’s face it, Chuck and Blair are the reason most people watch, and perhaps allow for some more interaction among the leads. But don’t keep hiring guests who cannot act. The GG cast is already full and needs no more additions. Focus on what you have and improve upon it. This idiocy frustrates me to no end. Can’t they hire some new blood to write for this show? I don’t want to see it end. TV without Chuck and Blair would be a dismal place. GG just needs a remedy. Anyway, that’s my two cents. ED AND LEIGHTON, you carry this show on your shoulders. [end of rant]

iam from indonesia, and i always watch GG every week from you tube. Blair and chuck is the first reason why i watched this movie. I am sure They have a big reason to put Hillary duff on GG. But i hope she can act well, so no matter what will happened on the next season, wish its no the end of season.

ugh! If they book Hilary, why not Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers, too?! ew! It’ll totally ruin the best show ever! Not to mention that her storyline is totally like Hannah Montana… And if they hook her up with Dan, I’ll kill them!! I’m serious -.- I’m sorry but when i look at her, all i see is the lil Disney starlet.

Yay Hilary is back on tv! Can’t wait her awesome come back. Hopes she does well playing Olivia Burke and may her character be great like what they did with Georgina Sparks.

I can’t wait for Gossip Girl to return this fall. :D
