Hilary Duff Joins Gossip Girl!!!

Hilary Duff is joining Gossip Girl for a multi-episode arc, sources confirm to EW. OMG!!!!!

The 21-year-old singer/actress will play Olivia Burke, a movie star who enrolls at NYU in search of a traditional college experience. She ends up rooming with Vanessa (Jessica Szohr). E! also reports that Olivia will be the new love interest for Dan (Penn Badgley).

The Duffster is scheduled to debut in this season’s fourth episode, slated to air on Monday, October 5th.

I absolute HATE this!

The show needs better writing as it is. Not a Hilary fan at all. Bad enough she has the gall to play the Bonnie from the Bonnie and Clyde movie but I can’t see how her “self conscious look at me I’m so pretty” acting style will fit in with the show.

The new season is going to be terrible.

Of course this is all because the rating for GG were never that great. Even the buzz is dying down.
I wonder what “shocking” low brow ad they will come up with for the new season this time.

wow i have mixxed feelings bout this. first of all, dont get me wrong, i love the girl, but on gossip girl ? i don’t really know what to expect, olivia in the books is known as a bitchy girl, and really, im use to seeing hil playing the good, nice, girl. this should be intresting… a lot of the girls on GG are badass and slutss and bitchyy … but hil ? we will have to see
