Zac Efron… With A Twist Of Lime!

Zac Efron keeps it cool in a black beanie while talking on his iPhone at an Olive Garden restaurant on Monday evening (June 29) in California.

The 21-year-old High School Musical actor/singer/dancer made a pitstop at a drugstore to get some Corona Light beer. He’s legal!

Over the weekend, Zac set sail at Marina del Rey to prepare for his upcoming role in The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud.

he start filming.

zanessa4everrr! @ 07/01/2009 at 1:13 pm

gosh i love him. :)

This is AWESOME!!!!

You just finished shooting Me and Orson Welles with Zac Efron and Claire Danes. How was that experience?
Beautiful. It’s coming out this fall. I couldn’t be more happy with it. And Zac is fantastic. He worked really hard. I know it’s always boring when people say how great everyone is they work with, but Zac’s the real deal and he’s going to have a really long career, because he’s meant to be here.

He’s short. But he’s definitely cuter than Chace Crawford. He tries to hard, which Zac doesn’t have to!

zac is a cool dude.

I read somewhere that Zac has “script approval” written into all his contracts now. That is great. This guy is going to have a great and long career in the industry.

Isn’t the one picture of him in the blue shirt when he’s going to the Olive Garden? And the ones of him in the white shirt and beanie are when he’s going to and leaving Vons, right?

Two different sightings????? Or did he change in the car after having dinner? :)

WICKED WENCH @ 07/01/2009 at 4:10 pm

Zac - Prettier with his hair slicked back but not as pretty as Chace Crawford.

zac is not pretty. zac has that yummy, rugged look about him. zexy!!!!

Malia, thanks for posting that article. I was trying to post it but it got moderated.

Yes, he had a change of clothes. But he was hanging out with the same friends from high school.
I understand that he went to his friend’s birthday party - in the blue shirt.

also in another article from sailingscuttlebutt.com - regarding his sailing lessons
“For the astute observer of the photos, it was noticed that Zac’s day on the bay was in a Lido 14, and his instructor was none other than Olympic medalist Pease Glaser.”

i love his hair long.

@Tiptoes:

AWESOME!!!!! Only the best for our Zac.

Malia, I hope he gets more sailing lessons without the paps always at his back. Aside from surfing, Zac can add this to the many reasons why he likes the beach.

It was actually funny how that day made sailing the headline news everywhere. I can understand Zac trying to keep it low nowadays as he tries to prepare for his next movie.

this was in santa maria, california…about 20 minutes from where zac went to high school…vons and olive garden were both in the same day, both in the same time within a mile of each other…he changed 4 times during the friends dinner at olive garden…i had friends run into him there, another friend was actually apart of the group and then went to the party after olive garden…

only had good tthings to say about him, down to earth kid, etc.

My comment is under moderation. I was posting the rest of what it said in the interview Malia posted in #29 so everyone would be sure to read it. So, who knows why it has to be “moderated”. At any rate, be sure to go to Malia’s #29 post and access the link. Read everything there is in the interview concerning Zac. It is very enlightening.

I think it’s great to see how normal Zac is. Remember he’ll be away again for a while once CSC starts filming, so it’s great to see him “catching up”.

Malia, great article! Though he’s not saying anything we fans don’t already know!!! Thanks for posting!!

@Karen:

Karen, the same thing happened to me too. I enjoy reading articles by directors who know them best - Richard of Zac, and Zack S of Vanessa.

Yes, go sox, it only validates why we are HUGE fans.

@NativeNYker:
“I’ll take him w/ a twist of anything!”

Oh, you are SO right. And I can think of a few twists I’d like to do with him too. You can’t deny it. He is HOT HOT HOT HOT.

Because I am missing ZAN -

The other things Richard Linklater said about Zac:

So he’s not just a song and dance man?
He’s too talented, he’s too much a natural. I’ve never met anyone less conflicted about performing. He’s just born to do what he’s doing. And he’s really smart, and he works hard. He has a good family. I’d say his foundation is such that he’s not going to be a f-u-c-k up and sabotage himself.

What kind of person flames out?
Usually people who do that are the ones who feel like they haven’t worked hard and really have had it hoisted on them. They’re picked out of a line, suddenly you’re in the public eye, and think maybe you don’t deserve it or something.

I hyphenated one word that Richard used. :)

@Karen:

I think your comment was moderated because Richard used a f-o-u-r letter word. I hyphenated that word and it got posted.

@tdiz:

as troy might say, “why would zac change 4 times?” in the restaurant???? did he lose his marbles?

so not zac.

didn’t he wear the blue long sleeved shirt to the dinner at olive garden?

Just wondered if anyone else is having problems with their posts not showing up, as this is about the fourth time I have posted a comment so I’m hoping it shows up.

Malia:
That may be the reason, I wasn’t thinking. But when I try to post where there is a word that isn’t acceptable it usually tell me that so I can change it and it didn’t so I forgot.

Here’s the last part of what RIchard Linklater said concerning Zac:

Was there any mobbing on set, because Robert Pattinson is getting it like crazy in New York right now?
Yeah, Zac attracts that same mob, but he handles it pretty well. How can you take it seriously? The age range of that mob is pretty young. It just shows you there’s not a lot going on in the physical world for a lot of people. People like showing up and being excited about something. It’s kind of fun to hear that squeal of young girls, I never really heard it before in person. When they encounter Zac Efron, it’s just a pitch range that I haven’t heard in my lifetime.
