I won’t be surprised if Angie shows up one day & very pregnant. what do you think the jenhags will do? Brad & Angie are making baby #7.

You can bet there will be a baby #7. They are in love, their relationhip is solid (practically married) so why not? It’s part of their life plans together. No one should be surprised. I mean really, nothing that they do should be considered ot of the ordinary.

well x-17 has the pictures up, and just like i suspected the driver was quoted as saying brad was very chatty and gracious,next week IT cover.

@nadia: you must be delusional. Angie will never leave Brad nor Brad will leave Angie. They are for the long haul.They are talking growing old together & having g-kids.

OT

I think this is FAKE but we will know tomorrow:

Human Rights Watch said Friday that Zimbabwe’s armed forces have taken over diamond fields in the east and killed more than 200 people, forcing children to search for the precious gems and beating villagers who get in the way.

The New York-based organization said its call for a ban on diamonds from the region had received an endorsement from Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. A statement from the couple’s foundation was expected later Friday.

“Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have issued a call for a ban on any sale or purchase of Marange diamonds … until … the mining is not based on the violent abuse of residents in that region,” said Kenneth Roth, Human Rights Watch’s executive director.

C’mon let this discussion will be just for jenhens. I mean why would JP need anymore baby to show they are in love? They got 6 kids already. That’s quite more than enough to show they are commited to each other. And we all know how it works. Even if they will add to their kids it will be through adoption and probably from Africa. in a year or 2 when Zee becomes 5 year old. This kind of talking is for jenhens l**nies.

I knew it. so now he says Brad was very chatty! That’s quite enough for me to know one of next week’s tabs will have an exclusive interview with that guy about Brad and Angie’s relationship. and they will make us to believe Brad talked with a complete stranger about his relationship with Angie and informed him about the state of their relationship. at least we are prepared for it.

@x17:

um next week MJ will be on every cover as his funeral is set for Monday.

Frankly I’m glad that MJ is on the covers. He could stay on there for the next 10 years as far as I’m concerned.

The X 17 papz was so lucky. Having papz around sometimes have a postive outcome. God bless the Jolie-Pitt family
Shout out to senior,neleh,vicki,MF,anoble,Chopin,Briseis,Bailey,cinnamon,pt,bdj,ebmo,estelle,tondo girl,Dbra77,Dina#1,neer,cliniqua,Felinelilly,african girl,new york lurker,val,Jill,teri,& to all on board.God bless you all & God bless the Jolie-Pitt family.

@NO: Exactly. I mean why would anyone talk about their own relationship period much less with a total stranger? Yeah right. Will Brad ask that pap about who he is seeing?

when have the tabloids ever made since,they have a slam dunk,brad getting a ride and be chatty with a pap from x-17,thats all the tabs need to spin an elaborate story,it aint rocket science

Ummm…WTH are you talking about? As I said, I forgot to divide the BO profits by 2, which is why my number for the studio’s BO earnings is off. Just take my BO profit and divide it by 2. My math is below - as well as the link.
.
$799MIL worldwide box office
-$520MIL (260 (160MIL production + $100MIL marketing) X 2)
=======
= $279MIL BOX OFFICE PROFIT
.
For the sake of argument let’s say it’s a 50/50 split between the studio and theaters
.
$279MIL/2 = $139.5MIL as the Studio’s box office profit
.
According to your math the studio doesn’t pay for marketing costs until they’ve sold the DVDs. That’s unrealistic. Marketing is a pay-as-you-go scenario. Studios are looking to recoup that money ASAP and funneling it into marketing other movies. The marketing costs I’m talking about are for the theaterical run, not whatever additional marketing they do for the DVD release. Universal doesn’t call up NBC and say, “We want to buy 20 minutes of prime-time advertising this month for our fall releases, but we can’t pay for it for 6 months - that’s when our Shrek The Third DVD profits come in.” No. NBC expects their money up-front.
.
When it comes to DVD sales, your $90MIL profit is way off. There is NOT a 50/50 split with the stores selling it. It’s not even 60/40. The retailer gets a small piece of each sale - ie, the mark-up. If they got a bigger piece, then more stores would sell DVDs. LOL. That’s why you can buy CDs and DVDs so much cheaper at Wal-mart than you can at other places. For them selling DVDs is just like selling toothpaste or a box of cereal. They pay the wholesale price and then mark-up their profit from there. That’s also why DVDs come with a suggested retail price. It’s a cap set by the studios so that retailers can’t hike the price and increase THEIR profit while the studio sees none of that increased revenue. Wal-mart buys in bulk. They buy 2,000,000 units. A local DVD/CD store may buy 200 units. Wal-mart’s getting their’s a hell of a lot cheaper - say $16.99 per unit and can resell it with minimal markup, ie, $18.99, and still turn a tidy profit. The local DVD place pays more - say $19.99 per unit - for the very same DVD and resells it for the suggested retail price, ie, $21.99. Their profit margin may be the same as Wal-mart, but multiply Wal-mart’s profit by 10,000 and that’s why they’re Wal-mart and everybody else is out of business.
.
Needless to say, there’s no way to account for revenue from DVD rentals and all the other ways a movie makes money because the studios just ain’t talking. That’s why actors end up suing - to get full disclosure of earnings and their fare share of profits and residuals.

To grouncontrol:
I think you are right about tentpoles. They get more than 50% (maybe 60%), but they never gets all the money.
And other kinds of movies can get less than 50%.
I read sometime that the studios gets 40 to 60% of the gross.
.
++++++++++++++++

A few years ago RadarOnline wrote a story about the studio/theater revenue percentages. I’ll see if I can find it…

Brad used to wear a ring in his right hand all the time. He has stopped wearing it in recent month.

Does anyone know why?

Does this mean anything?

I’m alittle worried. For 4 years he wore a ring in his right hand all the time but now he has stopped wearing any.

Passing Through @ 07/02/2009 at 7:52 pm

BTW - I forgot to say earlier - for the troll claiming that Angie isn’t in LA and nobody’s seen Angie since DC, etc….Brad’s little motorcyle breakdown… The story with the pix on RadarOnline says he’s been riding around HW on his bike in the afternoons. One word for ya - DECOY! The ratzi are following Brad…Angie waits 15 or 20 minutes and then she can take the kids anywhere she wants to go. Hehehehehehehehehe…

@x17:

Normally tabs use un name sources(because the sources are made up). The guy driving the car can be sued which will curtail what story is made up by the tabs.

Just a general question: Does Jared ever answer his e-mail?

For what it’s worth - here’s what Wikipedia says about how box office revenues are split. In most instances “the distributor” is also the studio that financed and produced the film.
.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Box_office
.
On average, the movie’s distributor receives more than half of the revenue, with the remainder kept by the movie theater. The split varies from movie to movie, and the percentage for the distributor is generally higher in early weeks. Usually the distributor gets a percentage of the revenue after first deducting a “house allowance” or “house nut”. It is also common that the distributor gets either a percentage of the gross revenue, or a higher percentage of the revenue after deducting the nut, whichever is larger.

Hags spewing all over the internet about BP & AJ movies NOT making money when the average AMERICAN can check BO receipts, for themselves. jenhags are PROVEN to be wrong, vindictive, corse, shallow losers who CLING to THE ULTIMATE LOSER who got LUCKY (opportunist to a man that was heartbroken by his previous love) in other wordsz: REBOUND!!!

NOT REALLY @ 07/02/2009 at 8:00 pm

If its just the two of them in the car its he said ,he said,no court would bother with a frivolous case like that.

I think you didn’t understand my numbers. Then again…

From $800 million that shrek3 made in theaters, 50% ($ 400 million) goes to the studio.The other half goes to the teather’ owners.

OT: I agree with groundcontrol that in tentpoles- like shrek - the studios makes a little more (maybe 60%), but I choose 50% cause we don’t know the exact number.

For the DVD sales the studio again takes part of the gross, cause there is the retailers profit. Than I said the studio gets 50% of the gross (90 million). The other half goes to the stores.

Then, the profits for the studio: 400 + 90 - 160 (budget) - 100 (marketing) + part of the studio of international sales + television rights.

But my point is that for a movie makes a profit (like Moneyball for example), the movie have to make at least two times his budget at the box office. And, if a movie makes only two times his budget, the studio only gets the exact money of the budget. Then, they need the DVD money and the televison money to pay the marketing expenses and for the profit.
The theater owners don’t get part of the profit , they get part of the gross.
