Sarah Palin Resigns as Alaska Governor
Sarah Palin officially announced on Friday (July 3) that she will be resigning as governor of Alaska.
The 45-year-old, who was known as ‘Sarah Barracuda’ in high school, will serve as governor until July 26 before she hands the position over to Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell.
“We know we can affect positive change outside government at this moment in time on another scale and actually make a difference,” said Sarah in a news conference in her hometown of Wasilla, Alaska. “I know when it’s time to pass the ball for victory.”

Sarah Palin is a very ambitious politician….clean your own backyard first before you think of cleaning the whole world..
How can you solve big problems when you cannot even solve your domestic problems…having a very young unwed kid is Sarah Palin’s greatest achievement in life….
Notice wiki cleaned up the dates when Sarah got married and had her first child lest the readers realize like mother like daughter.
It would have been nice if she had continued her job since people elected her believing in her administrative skills.
If she plan to run for president in 2012 then I believe stepping down degrade her ability.
Anyway, we don’t know what things might have driven her to step-down we should respect her decision. And we should thank for her leadership capabilities.

She wants the big prize,The White House 2012and I don’t mean VP.
She wants to write her book.
She wants to be free to keep her name in the media like with the David Letterman fiasco with was way overboard.
Leaving Alaska to get here is too far.
Iam a Palin supporter,but this move is DUMB and risky. She has only two more years to finish so she could finish and the have two years for her book and to run.

With so many Republicans getting caught in the dirty sheets so to speak lately, one cannot help but think of that right off for Palin resigning. (It would not be the first time rumors of infidelity have surrounded her.)
For whatever reason, it was a poor move, jmho.

Her approval rating in Alaska tanked. Alaskan Government officials began wearing buttons that said Where’s Sarah? She wasn’t serving the needs of the people. ans whenever she did her ethics were questioned.
And with a teenage daughter who has a newborn and a toddler with autism herself.. Sarah needs to spend some time getting her house in order and being a mother.
Leave the politics to the educated and the savvy. I shudder to think of what the state of the union would be under the rule of this hick yahoo sportscaster wannabe.
I don’t blame her one bit for stepping down. All the attacks she’s had since running for V.P. probably took its’ toll on Sarah and her family.
I like how she left when the going got tough and tried to leave on a note that would make her still look good. Thanks for the insightful Alaskans posting here.

The Vanity Fair article was probably the last straw. John McCain’s staff trashed her in that article. plus, her popularity in DOWN in Alaska….she should resign and take SC governor Sanford with her.
