Sarah Palin Resigns as Alaska Governor
Sarah Palin officially announced on Friday (July 3) that she will be resigning as governor of Alaska.
The 45-year-old, who was known as ‘Sarah Barracuda’ in high school, will serve as governor until July 26 before she hands the position over to Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell.
“We know we can affect positive change outside government at this moment in time on another scale and actually make a difference,” said Sarah in a news conference in her hometown of Wasilla, Alaska. “I know when it’s time to pass the ball for victory.”

LINDA KELLEN BEIGEL photo shopped Trigg’s photo with Sarah holding him. It was a photo showing a special needs baby in the loving arms of his mother. It was an inspirational photo to parents and families of special needs children. Linda Kellen Beigel made his little face look like a monster and mocked him and his mom.She is the one that filed most of the ethics complaints that were proven to be FALSE in court but cost Palin 500k and AK 2 million dollars in legal fees.That is why Sarah is stepping down. She is saving AK and herself money. Huffington Post just entered “******” article attacking Palin and the baby tonight. NO CHILD DESERVES WHAT HAS BEEN DISHED AT PALIN’S CHILDREN. I do not agree with her politics but I care about children. I wish Palin’s family the best.The hatred between the democrats and republicans in this country has elevated to a dangerous level. All Americans should wish the residing president success for the country and show respect to the families of ALL parties. CHILDREN SHOULD BE OFF LIMITS IN POLITICS.

Oh Sarah should just call the woman out publicly if she is attacking a baby and be done with it, you KNOW, turn the tables on the woman. No, this is something else, I believe. With the scandals going on in the GOP, do they have something on Sarah or Todd? Frankly, as they say frequently with Sarah and Todd, we are left scratching our heads.

Btw, did Palin ever get Special Needs children state budgets’ funded like she said she would or teen girls that are pregnant some help so they can finish school or provide daycare so they can, I know she cut those AK budgets when she said she would help on the campaign trail.

No one was attacking Trig. It was a photo of local businessman with special interests that Sarah seemed to be catering to. The photo had Sarah holding the man in her arms like her baby. No one was picking on her son- it was attacking Sarah’s catering to special interests.

This is a great day for all of America! She has been an insult to women and mother’s. She’s obviously in over her head and is stupid to boot. Just think if she would have been VP…..I shudder at the thought.
It amazes me that she can’t take the heat from the media because she sure had no problem spewing garbage about Obama that was just horrible when she was running for VP. She can dish it out but can’t take it. I still think there is more to this story and in time we’ll find out the truth.
For now however glad to see her retreat…….she’s all about the celebrity and not the well-being of our country.

She probably resigned to get her children out of the spotlight. No other politician’s kids have been harassed like hers…and I am not talking about the pregnant one. The photoshop pics circling the net a few days ago are beyond outrageous, not to mention the article posted on HuffPo yesterday making fun of her son. Or the sexual joke Letterman told about her 14 yr old daughter. I don’t think she is qualified to be president, but no one’s children deserve to be dragged through the mud like hers were.
It appears that the questions about Palin’s house and the sports complex made their way through the media and blogosphere during the campaign last October…..same windows, doors, etc. from the complex appear to be the same in Palin’s house by the same contractor. Shame on Sarah Palin for lecturing us about gov’t when she is embezzling from the gov’t.

#88 I do agree with you that no ones children should be dragged in the mud. However you are obviously too young to remember the horrible things said and done about Chelsea Clinton when her father was in office. It was disgusting.
She didn’t seem to worry about ALL of their coverage when she dragged them out on stage at her rallies. Sarah Palin is self-serving and I’m sure we will be hearing more scandalous stuff about her.
No time like the present to cash in a chancy political future for the guaranty of big bucks and stardom. Fox News, speaking engagements; who knows. You get to get away with more stuff when you are not in the political arena where there is always some downside to fame and in Sara’s case, plenty of it.

When the Palins began building a new family home off Lake Lucille in 2002—at the same time that Palin was running for lieutenant governor and in her final months as mayor—Spenard supplied the materials, according to Antoine Bricks, who works in its Wasilla office. Spenard actually filed a notice “of its right to assert a lien” on the deed for the Palin property after contracting for labor and materials for the site.
