I would think she would have had something to eat there too even if she has admitted to not being very good at serving food at her house. Maybe everyone just brought something so they would have munchies and something to drink.

ok boji i take that back…she doesnt have midget legs..that was shallow to say about little ppl. what i meant by that though is you know how short ppl’s legs look too bulky for their size..well that is how they look. Cause the rest of her looks normal, from the weight up she looks skinny. I just am not fond of her legs and like ayen said that is normal, some ppl just like skinnier legs. And no i am not that liam guy. Really i like vanessa and think she is pretty, just not her legs..nothing wrong with that. Eva longoria is short and has nice legs, so does mila kunis. Alao love Zac’s hair this lenght I have never been a lover of long hair on men and for someone like Zac who has georgous blue eyes it was such a shame not to see them.

Well, all the info spouted about MAOW is publicly available. I knew about the UK release, who it’s been released by and the appearance at the Woodstock festival.

While MAOW has not been picked up by a distributor to the best of my knowledge, Linklater could have entered a deal with a few theaters to have it on limited release.

That’s what happened with ‘Easy Virtue’ with Jessica Biel. It didn’t get a US distributor but was released only in LA and NY and got really good reviews.

If Maow is on limited release yet gets good reception, the release could be widened so the possibility is still very much there.

So, what is this about Zac having a photo shoot in NY while Vanessa has her Bandslam promo thing? Or did a zealous fan of someone else start the rumor that Zac was going to be in NY NOT knowing that Vanessa was also going to be there?

I feel sad that good and seriously beautifully done films like MAOW are not well marketed and distributed as widely as some mediocre and fluffy films. I am just hoping that the release in UK and Canada, will also encourage some US distributors to pick it up. There is no shirtless Zac in the movie but would it have helped increase the movie hype/buzz if Zac and Claire had steamy scenes? This is one project where people can gauge and see Zac acting chops, without taking his shirt off or flipping his hair. I am just sad really but hopeful that the movie will be shown.

I would like Christian M who played Orson Welles to be nominated for Best Actor, among other things. The Oscars will be widening its Best Pic category, so I am hoping it will part of the selection.

Can’t wait to see Van pics in NY for her Bandslam press junket. Bring it on!

Well Malia, you can always cross and watch it in Canada when it comes here by fall. But hopefully MAOW will be shown in the US even in limited theatres.

I can understand Zac keeping it low nowadays as everyone is speculating where he is. The casting for his next movie is still underway so I am guessing he is busy preparing for this. We don’t know yet if he will do a photoshoot in NY or LA. But Van for sure is in NY and some initial Bandslam reviews are very encouraging.

I said forever how Vanessa would be used to promote this film and there were some who got mad at me. Sometimes you just can’t tell people anything. From the time people found out Vanessa was going to be in this movie many of them ASSUMED—no matter what anyone wrote here on JJ including JJ—that Vanessa must be the lead actor in this movie. So many never understood that maybe she wanted to show that she could be someone different than the heroine or the sweetheart of the movie. They didn’t think she would play “second-fiddle” to someone so she could take on a character that was different than what people know her for and that is interesting. The move payed off for her apparently. I say good for her. The same thing goes for Zac. They both seem to be doing something right.

There were a couple of kids and teens but the majority of the peeps were definitely in their 30-60s. Around there.

While waiting for the movie to start. I showed Dee, Vanessa's new outtakes from 'Parade'. She hasn't seen it yet, and thankfully, the theater had 'wifi' and my itouch picked it up. (yay for itouch!!) We gushed over it and we teased her husband a little bit for being a 'closeted' fan. haha!!

Concerning how well they did.

Vanessa: Seriously, I thought she did great. There's room of improvement of course, but I honestly thought she was good with her role. She did her part right. And maybe because I read other people's review and what they noticed that I was looking for those things as well. Chel was right. There was a part in the movie where her character went off, but it's so small that you barely notice it. The only gripe I had about her acting, was the cafeteria scene. That's about it. The rest were wonderful.

Things to watch out for. [spoiler] They were in the alley and discussing the new song they were going to sing since ‘Scott’s band sang the same song. Anyways, Gaelan was urging them to go inside already because they were calling their name. And Vanessa turns to him and said something. OMG. Priceless!! I love that part!! She’s amazing in that part.

Another part is when they did the project. haha. SA5M IS MEEEEEEEAN! But it’s understandable. Still, I love her ranting here. It gives you an overview of ‘Blondie’ and how tough/bitchy Vanessa can be. (ugh, I seriously seriously want to see her as a ‘bad’ girl)

Anyways… Overall. I really think Vanessa did well. It’s true that the movie isn’t about her. She’s not the main character, but she also carries her character well. And dammit…the girl is GORGEOUS IN BIG SCREEN. Maybe because I’m a fan, but every time she’s on, my focus is always on her.

As for Gaelan. Wow… He’s good. Sadly though, I feel like he’s going to be typecasted as this dorky kid and play as himself in his movie. Kind of like Michael Cera. I hope he can get better roles and get pass that. And Aly. She’s good also, but I’m not really impressed with her expression much. She needs to work on that because there were scenes where I thought she should have shown move expression. But overall, she did really good. And the other cast. hahaha. I love them!!! You will all definitely enjoy their casting and how good they went together.

oh…and that girl who plays cello, is gorgeous also. and Bee’s look alike doesn’t say much. She maybe has like…3-4 lines overall?

oh and another scene to look out for that had me rolling in laughter and tears. The kissing scene part between Gaelan and Sa5m!! omg. too funny!!! You’ll find out why.

Oh and in the funny scenes, I definitely heard dee’s husband and the audience laughing. I’m not really good w/ reviews, but I definitely think this movie was good. It’s not my genre, but I would definitely go back and watch it again.

PS. When I went home, two of the peeps that were in the screening was in the bus with me. and haha…they were talking about it. This sweet ‘older’ man was definitely gushing over Vanessa. I didn’t notice they were in the bus, but I heard him telling the lady (who I met when I was heading to Lincoln Square) that it was a transition movie for ‘Vanessa’, and that he loved it and he’s looking forward to her future movies. That’s how I found out it was them because I the man mentioning Vanessa’s name and how this movie was a ‘transition’ for her. See…he totally gets it.]

Thanks for the reviews, Naomi. I am quite anxious to see the movie. I’m glad that the movie goes beyond the simple teen flick for the summer. I really didn’t expect that Vanessa would select something that didn’t have something strong going for it.

I wonder exactly how many fake Zac and Vanessa Twitters there are out there. I found 5 for Zac and 6 for Vanessa (a couple of them swearing they are the real thing.

Now there are at least FOUR for Stella Hudgens. Who are the people who create these fake accounts? Don’t they have anything else to do?

I believe someone is trying to set certain people up on the JJJ site when it comes to these twitters. I believe it could be a number of situations but the bottom line is the want to see what will “work” in getting some kind of rumor going which people will latch onto and believe. Thus, the gossip rags and blogsites can run with it and make money off these two.

Zac nor Vanessa is snorting coke or falling out of some club drunk or showing how stupid they are so the only thing anybody has to stir up trouble over is “they broke up” or “Zac was seen with some mystery woman”, blah, blah, blah. Gossip mongers want to make a buck off these two popular people and they know they can’t get pictures very easily since they are working and they don’t have twitters which means they are not like some celebrities who twitter their every whereabout so as to have pictures take of them. With nothing at the rumor mill to use these mentally challenged people have to come up with some device as to which to get gossip started and so they have someone like Vanessa’s mom or sister “twittering” this garbage. Apparently these numbskulls who set this stuff up think there is nobody out in the world who is smarter than they are… It’s ridiculous to think that privacy loving Vanessa would have family who enjoy airing all her stuff to everyone and anyone. If I was Stella I’d be getting rid of friends who were only interested in my famous sister and her boyfriend.

Bottom line: STOP THE TWITTERING! IT “AIN’T” GONNA WORK!”

I do agree that the “delusional” have some real issues…I mean anyone who will go to such great lengths to see some other actress will get a non-important award so Vanessa won’t get it really is eaten up inside with a sickness. But without going into great details why I feel this way, I also believe there are people who run gossip sites and are involved with gossip publications that try this stuff to get their next “story” and so they can use those infamous “from a source” scenarios. And believe me, I don’t get this feeling just from watching too many movies that deal with conspiracy theories. I think Zac and Vanessa are very smart and avoid doing stupid stuff which is one reason they stay out of the gossip rags but I also think they can thank the fact they have older fans who can see through such ploys these people use to make up rumors.

Well Karen, I think you ar doing a good job here and at JJJ squishing all these lies and rumors. Its all quiet now as Zac and Van are busy with their movie projects. I know it will be a busy next few weeks for Van as she will be wraping up her Beastly scenes in Montreal, and promoting Bandslam leading up to the Aug. 6 LA premiere. I read the script, but I can’t remember if they were seniors. I remember Will and his mom moved to New Jersey and he started a new school. Not sure if they even mentioned what year they were. And I thought the movie ended right after the bandslam competition. There are a few more scenes but not a graduation one. Maybe they do some “fast forward” into the future scenes at the end.

High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens has filed a breach of contract lawsuit against former music producer Johnny Veira.

Veira filed his own lawsuit against the star earlier this year, which was settled on April 29th.

The new suit alleges false advertising and appropriation of name and likeness, by using photographs of Hudgens on his company MySpace page, ones that suggest she’s an active client. Viera is also accused of violating their prior settlement agreement.

He’s also banned from “falsely holding himself out to the public as someone with whom Hudgens is currently signed.”

Hudgens is asking for damages, an injunction to stop Veria from using her name to acquire new business and then revoking of all funds and interest he might earn doing so.

Given the fact that Zac’s movie is suppose to start filming on August 4th in Vancouver it seems highly unlikely that he will be able to at least make the Bandslam premiere. It would seem unlikely that he could get to the Teen Choice Awards either given they are on a Monday unless he would get that day off and he would hurry and fly to LA. But I would think he would like to see Vanessa once she gets back to LA for a few days and is that close. I wonder what day she will be back in town since she is set to be on Jimmy Kimmel’s show on the 5th. But perhaps Zac has started shooting some scenes early since he is already in Vancouver and will get a few days off–if for not other reason to be able to hook up with his lady love.

Thanks for the news at Zac’s News thread in FF about the casting of Tess in Zac’s new movie. The actress looks pretty and tall.

I also liked the choice of Tess. She’s not some drop dead gorgeous woman but she is very attractive and she does look believable as someone who could sail due to her athletic ability. I think that was important for this role.

As far as if Zac will make it to the Bandslam premiere and the TCA’s I was just going on some information that was passed along to me yesterday when the filming of the movie was to begin and it was suppose to be the newest update of the filming schecule. However, I agree that if Zac can be at that premiere in any way that he will be. I also think he would definitely try to be at the TCA considering he is very loyal to his fans and given the fact that HSM and he personally is up for more than one award then I’m sure he feels that it is important that he be there. And I have a feeling given the fact that it will be like a month since he will have seen Vanessa that he would try to clear his schedule so he can be home in LA since she will also be home.
