Miley Cyrus Covers ‘Elle’ August 2009
Miley Cyrus isn’t a kid anymore, taking the August 2009 cover of Elle. Here’s what the 16-year-old Hannah Montana star opens up about:
On her new clothing line with Max Azria for Wal-Mart: “The jeans are my favorite part of the entire line. Because, like, literally this is going to be good for, like, Middle America, and it will be great for kids that really want to be in fashion but that don’t have it available.”
On the difficulties of being a teen star and why she’s friends with other young performers: “It’s hard for all of us. There are so many people that could be using you. So me and Nick [Jonas] and Demi [Lovato], we don’t need anything from each other. We got our own thing going on.”

Good for Miley. Piss all these idiots off by doing exactly what they wish they could do themselves! I just love reading all the comments from people who seem to come from higher morals, but who probably get drunk and scr*ew like a rabbit, and then come on sites like these and talk trash. why? shes not wearing all that make-up to look older so here she looks her age, but althogh she looks better and more natural she should of worn some because she could pass for 14 here. im pretty sure the target audience for elle magazine isnt 12 year old pre-teens to 16 year old teenagers like miley cyrus’ fans………. bad choice in my opinion. and what the hell is with the cleavage, she 16 for f*cks sake! im sorry but she is not the best role model in my eyes.

you comment although half correct is full of pitfalls. why would you only blame elle and not miley, her parents, her care givers, those supposed adults or responsible people around her who manage her life. i’ve seen way more adult-like pictures of miley and i guess it’s up to her and elle because it’s not like she’s being forced to do anything really. she is a consentual part of all of this and no way does she play stupid about all of this. somewhere in her head is a brain…and so what if she wants to oversexualize herself. i was going to say it’s not up to her to be a role model to kids, parents should be, but she’s been preaching that role model line like that fake tastic chica’s tila tequila, hayden panitierre, bristol palin, eva mendez, etc…so basically they should all just do what they preach. lol. i mean it’s not surprising that disney has been corrupting kids for ages and the kids nowadays are way worse than even before my nana’s time so w/e. elle may be to blame but so is the girl. i mean i thought elle was a women’s magazine catered to actual women and not teenage girls…even if she has had her women’s right of passage. my opinion but i guess mine doesn’t count since elle makes $$ off of theirs.

Anyways, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with her showing her boobs. I know plenty of 16 year olds, myself included, who are known to show cleavage once in a while.

The Disney StarMachine might have held her back and done her a real disservice with the laugh tracks in Hannah Montana and the affectation of “indication”-style acting, (the directors’ fault), whereas, Dakota Fanning, in The Runaways, will use her dazzling acting chops, but clearly, Miley Cyrus has the pipes. And Helen of Troy beauty, ofc, is what I meant.

This seems like an awful lot of boobage for a sixteen year old girl to be showing. Especially one who professes to be a Christian. What are her parents thinking. She’s becoming the next Britney Spears and good luck with that.
