OlderRobert Pattinson Remembers Regis High School
Robert Pattinson shoots scenes for his new movie, Remember Me, outside Regis High School on the Upper East Side of New York City on Monday morning (July 6).
The 20-year-old British actor is reportedly homesick. “Robert is dying to get back home,” an insider tells NYDN. “He’s so over everything. He’s overwhelmed by all the girls — they terrify him! He says girls grab his neck and clothing all of the time, and he’s not used to that. Fans don’t do that to him in London. Everyone there is a little cooler about the fame thing, which is what he’s used to.”
The source continues, “He’s embarrassed by the way girls throw themselves at him. The girls here are stalking him. He stayed in two different hotels over the course of four days just to try to escape the fans who were following him. He’s afraid that if he gives a hand, they’ll take the whole arm. He’s being advised by security not to encourage the crowd, so he doesn’t even look up anymore.”

i agreed 100 with anon. most new yorkers don’t give a **** about the people around them so this fans should be mostly turists i mean who saw the the same thing in italy it was the same. i m sure that he can walk down the street here and be unnotice but obv far from the sets

If this story is true, it’s unfortunate. As a New Yorker, I can tell you that most of us, at least in Manhattan, are used to seeing celebrities and leave them alone. But Pattinson is dealing with masses of hormonally crazed young girls, and let’s face it, they are going to be nuts no matter what city he’s in.
He’s also young and has spent an unnaturally difficult, work-intensive year–dealing with the pains of a Beatlemania type of celebrity to boot. It would be difficult for anyone, but for a 23-year-old coping with this alone…honestly, i don’t know how he does it. I hope he has the support of friends and family to rely on, and that he comes back to NYC when this Twilight stuff finally calms down and he can enjoy the city.
WOW…he actually looks CLEAN!!! Poor guy…yeah-go back home Robert. But please continue to take a shower and wash the hair-you just look CLEAN! Don’t you feel better all cleaned & refreshed?

i feel the same way as u, people shouldnt scream n go crazy around him cuz it said in magazines that it basically terrifis him cuz he is always afraid he is gonna get killed cuz all those screamin fans, isnt it better to make he feel safe not like if he is making movies or is famous in any other way his life will be in danger
Poor guy - I feel bad for him. Just because he is shooting a movie and in the public eye at the moment does not mean girls should be disrespectful and invade his personal space like that. Hang in there Rob!

I wish he would come home! although it is true about the fans over here we seem to be more scared by celebrities than the americans are. Plus we remember that they are people as well and not just things that are desired!

I was there the day these photos were taken. As usual, you shouldn’t read too much into what Tabs and other rag mags (like NYDN) write — because they exaggerate details to sensationalize and make money.
There were less than 20 on-lookers there that day, and several New Yorkers that lived in the area stopped to ask what was going on, and stayed to get a look. I had never been to the set before and hoped that everyone wouldn’t scream and go crazy when he came out of his trailer, and to my surprise, they DIDN’T. It was really calm, actually. He was outside of the trailers for literally 20 seconds each time and the only reason it looks like he’s really unhappy is because the paps shoot nonstop when he moves. Every frame is like one millionth of a breath he takes or something. He was barely outside. A minute in total, tops.
In reality, seeing him move between his trailers those two times, he just looked shy. Not unhappy. And he did smile at the fans in the brief second he walked by. I was really surprised there were not more people and commotion because I had seen that awful video where he got mobbed. But if yesterday was any indication, that hoopla has died down a LOT. It was the most uneventful film set I’ve ever been on.
And don’t tell me he wouldn’t have crazy fans anywhere he goes — because that is ridiculous. There will be crazy fans in London, too — even if they aren’t Londoners.
Bottom line, don’t believe anything rag mags write because they are just trying to whip you into a frenzy. It was really cool to actually be there first-hand and see that most of what they write is total bullsh*t. From what I saw, he didn’t look scared, ungrateful or whiny — just like a guy trying to do his job.
I would also like to state my amazement at how quickly these photos got sold and put up on this website — he walked in Regis to start filming at 10:30am and this story was already up by 11:11? Not much time for responsible “journalism.” Further proof you should take this stuff with a grain of salt.
poor Rob give the guy some space.He is truely a great actor and we don’t want him to quit.I am from the US and I kno more stuff about him then most of the people who are attacking the poor guy.I am a civilzed american and wish i could meet him because i would be civilized about it.Yeah I would save the freaking out part for when i got home.

I feel bad for Rob. I dont Blame him for wanting to go back home. The girls here are F**kn crazy. its lik DAMN chill out girls…leave him alone. tak ur pic den leave. no need to stalk him, he’s a normal guy who jus so happened to get a lil more lucky. dont those girl realize der gunna chase him away. i mean damn, for him not to evn look up any more & to be scared to shake girls hands or somthing, is horrible.

i aint a HUGE A** fan(to where i got pics & poster all ovr the place & i dont write i love edward evrywhere), but ima fan enough to love the movie & the books. & yess i agree with the part where girls jus love his role as Edward. i mean Why didnt girls start chasing him wen he filmed in Harry Potter:Goblet of Fire. its just cause of twilight. notice how you dont hear bout girls chasn Taylor Launter (Jacob) & he was in twilight (& no offense to Rob, but taylor is cute & more near these girls age).
