Roger Federer & Serena Williams Take Their Trophies
Roger Federer of Switzerland and Serena Williams of the United States hold their trophies they received at the Hotel Intercontinental on Sunday (July 5) in London, England.
Federer, 27, made sports history Sunday by becoming the first man to win 15 major tennis titles as he overcame Andy Roddick in the Wimbledon final. Williams, 27, won her 11th grand slam title at Wimbedon on Saturday.
“For the second time in my career, I have a number I want to reach,” Williams said in an interview at Wimbledon before yesterday’s men’s final. “My first number was reaching Monica Seles, and I was finally able to do that. Now, I’m looking at Billie Jean King.”

Roger is a class act all the way, what a fantastic embassador for the game he is.The same goes for Nadal, both parents did a good job, congrats to Serena as well.

Love Serena, great tennis player with a personality to match. Fed is first class at his job, but the man has zero personality and very unattractive. To think, I was such an avid tennis watcher and loved Wimbledon for the talent and male eye candy… now there’s noone I fancy. *sigh*

I think his wife is due to give birth sometime in August. I’m 4 days away from my due date and I don’t look nearly that big. It looks as if she has been eating everything. However, she is still pretty and the weight can be exercised off. She should train with Roger.
So happy Roger won!! Not too happy that loud mouth ball hitter won though. Don’t watch woman’s tennis much anymore. Between the William sister grunting and screaming every time they hit the bloody ball and that blonde chick Serena beat screaming like someone was pulling at her privates, has just turned me off.

the wife is an athelete so im sure she’ll get back to form after..
if roger had a brother who played against him he wouldn’t be so successful. the williams sisters are the true trail blazers. they fought to make women’s tennis as valued as mens.
the only reason roger did so well is because men’s tennis is weak.

OMG #21!! That’s what my father said when he started watching the championship match with Serena. He said someone needs to fine every single man and woman that makes those damn grunting and screaming noises. I tried to watch the doubles match between Serena and her sister, but had to turn it off. It was driving my poor dad’s hearing aids crazy.
The wife was heavy before the pregnancy.

venus (w/ the backing of billie) lobbied for and wrote open letters (search l.a. times 2007) about how women deserve equal pay in tennis. that’s why women started to make as much as men in wimbledon & french open.
serena has 11 grand slam singles titles, venus 8 titles, and 3 olympic medals for our country… and that’s the short list.
also how many black tennis players had you seen playing before they arrived on the scene?

I think the women winners should get a big trophy too. I’m glad Serena won, wish Andy Roddick could of won but Roger deserves it.
God, sexism just lives and breathes. I was always astounded at the women’s trophy/ PLATE, compared to the men’s.

Awesome. And the net losers won’t admit the sisters made tennis live and breath again, like what Tiger did for golf. But who cares, most of these posters seem like Sunday-morning quarterbacks and armchair psychologists.

Serena is beautiful! I am glad she is beginning to wear understated lipstick and gowns. She is a beautiful girl, inside and out.
