Harry Potter Covers Entertainment Weekly

This week’s Entertainment Weekly features the highly anticipated Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the film adapted from the sixth novel in J.K. Rowling’s seven-volume series, and speaks with the stars about Twilight, tossing their Hogwarts uniforms, and their careers.

Daniel Radcliffe knows exactly what he wants to do post-Harry. “I have come to the conclusion that I am never happier than when I am on a film set,” he says. “This is what I want to be doing. Totally. Absolutely. Unequivocally!”

For Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, their hardest scene was a kiss between their characters Ron and Hermione that shapes their destiny. “I remember being inches away from her lips and thinking, ‘Good lord, this is going to be strange,’” says Rupert. Adds Emma: “Rupert is like a brother to me, and our relationship couldn’t be more platonic. So kissing him – well, it felt like incest, to be honest. But I think it’s going to be very sweet.”

I love it !! Really need to buy this issue.. Love HP. It’s good to see that these three have grown up so well :) so intelligent !!

# 2

Haha, incest. That’s an interesting way of describing it, but i’m sure it was very awkward for both of them

# 3

Why must they always ask them about Twilight? Just because Rob was in HP first, then in Twilight? It’s stupid and must be so annoying for the Trio.

I just saw a clip of Emma on David Letterman last night.. What a charming young woman she is. So poised and self confident. Such a contrast to all the craziness around the twilight franchise. These three have been together since they were 9-10 years old.. No crazy drama and made up rumors. I loved her interview with David. the way she handled the underwear issue.. easy and with class.. She really held her own on Davids couch.. I think she impressed him..

she is such an example of what I would like to see from some of the other young stars.. Smart, talented and I love that she is going to college in the States. She is just one of my favorites.

And in all honesty Rupert is my favorite HP star. I remember when I saw the film for the first time, HE was the one the seemed like the character came to life. He is a perfect Ron.. And I love how real and unaffected he seems to be. Just a regular guy.

Can’t wait to see this movie next week..

They have all turned out to be compassionate and intelligent people, very nice to see in this industry.

I agree with Debra, she is so poised and a real leading lady she gave a funny and upbeat interview with Dave, not like the leading lady in twilight that always looks angry and gives the most boring interviews don`t get me wrong I have nothing against her, I love the twilight movie and have read all the twilight books, but it would NOT kill her to be nice and smile once in a while I mean is part of her job at least when she is giving interviews.

And I also love the fact that she is going to college, that mean that she is intelligent and grounded because super stardom can end any minute.

LOVE*

totally buying it!

I totally get the incest thing, growing up I had a big crush for one of my best friends who was my brother best friend and our families were really closed (we knew since we were born)…thing is when we finally decided to take a step further in our relantionship it felt soooo weird, after our first kiss we were both like “yeah this isn’t going to work”

I liked 1 and 2 installments of the series, not so much after that. It’s been too d*amn long and I’ve lost interest in ever finding out the ending. Not going to see the last 2 installments.

Well…..let´s see…………Daniel Radcliffe is going to get some parts after HP ends. His name alone is bound to get even the smallest movie some flashlight.
(As his play “Equus” demonstrated.)

After a year or two, he might go for the “independent” movies. (and with independent, I mean those crapmovies that stay in the dark, not hits like “Big Fat Greek Wedding”, “Brick” or “Equilibrium”)

A good escape and a good excuse. He sure as hell won´t be offered any serious roles (not with other male actors around who actualy can act, have a certain charisma or talent- not to mention that there are alot of better looking lads) anymore.

But because independent movies tend to have that, “Oh, I´m going to try something new here, be an artist, show another part of me.(be naked)”-crap, he´s going to use that as his excuse.

Soon after that nobody will care, and Dan will disappear.

All he´ll get will be the habitual newspaper mention, and his money.
————————-

Emma Watson though………hmmm……..that´s a different matter.

For starters, she´s a girl. And considered rather good-looking by some people (strange, I know!). She has a good figure—-and thus—one BIG FAT PLUS point over Dan.

Being female, and living in this society, the above points alone are going to grace her with a lot of frontCOVERS- be that fashion, parfume or whatnot.

So, to sum it up, her clothes alone can get her into every newspaper for a long time to come.

But acting-wise…..well, I´m not so sure.

She´s certainly not the best actress (acting is more than raising your brows every second), but not the worst either. Decent. That pretty much covers her abilities.

She does, however, possess more charisma than Dan onscreen. I can even see a hint of comedian slumbering somewhere deep inside her….

And while I also can´t see Daniel getting any better at acting, the same thing can not be said about Emma.
There is still alot of room for her to grow. At least I have that feeling. If she really wants to, and is willing to put alot of hard work and effort into it– she could get better.

One thing might get in her way though. And this is the one thing Dan holds over her—–he is way more down to earth. He geniunly seems to be that nice guy, with a good head on his shoulders.

Emma on the other hand likes to flaunt it seems. She obviously likes fame and the spotlight. And I really hope that this (understandable) megastatus right now won´t distract her from becoming a real actress some day.
———————–

On to Rupert——–Rupert my old friend!

He has the right comedic timing. And the looks to comfortably become one—–but does he really posses the actingtalent to back it up?

Hmmm…………very hard one.

He certainly is a better actor than Dan- but will he get any better? Or, more importantly–does he even want to?

He doesn´t really strike me as an abitious person to tell you the truth. He obviously doesn´t care much about the whole HP-buzz.
And that´s a good thing.

I guess in his case, his moods are going to decide his career.

I can see him quit acting and live a normal life—but also becoming a prominent but low-key actor.
———————-

The one I can really see become a great actor would be Tom Felton.

Certainly the best HP has to offer, in terms of young actors. He has talent, an enormous understanding of human personalities, charisma—-and he seems very willing to learn.

—————–

Whatever—-this is just my opinion, so don´t feel offended by it. (just saying this to be safe ;O)

I actually like all three (four) of them and wish them nothing bad, but that does not mean that I´m blind when it comes to judge their careers in a neutral way.

@diana: Plus, she’s been accepted to 3 Ivy League Schools and Cambridge and Oxford in England. But she will be going to one of the 3 Ivys in the USA instead.

I wished they would stopped comparing Harry Potter with Twilight. They didn’t do that with Narnia, and that film did phenomenally well as a book-film franchise too. Plus, there are hardly any similarities between Twilight and Potter. For one, Potter requires neurons.

And Emma, Dan and Rupert are so classy and articulate, much more intelligent than the entire ‘young hollywood’ and Twilight cast put together.

HARRY POTTER (L)

Harry/Hermione forever!

Damn they are so ugly.

Poor Rupert. He wants to get in her pants so bad and she says he is like a brother to me.

Aww Emma and Rupert are cute! Cannot wait to see this. :)

I love how they are colour coordinated and Emma has her arm around Rupert … I heart the trio

I don’t doubt but that Dan likes to be on a movie set. He is treated like royalty there. Instead of turning out as a failure in school (which he was sure to be) he has become a super rich movie star. I say good for him and he should thank his lucky stars for what has happened to him. So far he seems reasonably modest and nice. What he becomes remains to be seen. I wish him the best.

The premiere is tonight in NYC at the Ziegfeld Theatre

that cover’s amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is the best trio ever (L)
go harry potter!

people from twilight should learn to behave like the trio and company
