Laetitia Casta: Baby Bump Bikini!
French model/actress Laetitia Casta proudly shows off her baby bump while wearing a bikini at the Castiglione della Pescaia beach in Tuscany, Italy on Thursday (July 9).
The 31-year-old former face of L’Oreal, Dior and Chanel splashed around the water with her children and fiance Stefano Accorsi’s parents.
Laetitia was also featured in the 1999 Chris Isaak music video for “Baby Did a Bad, Bad Thing”.

The paps need to show more respect to a pregnant woman…not be shooting her crotch and posting it online…while she stoops playing with her toddler. And this woman ought to have more respect for herself and learn how to conduct herself as a female and especially as a pregnant female. To print a picture of anyone squatting as if they’re about to take a dump is just unfair and universally unflattering. From all angles except sideways you can barely tell she’s pregnant. I only wish my butt could look that small and tight and I’m not even pregnant. It looks a lot better than the leathery wrinkly one on the lady she stops to talk to. And she manages to maintain a great body everywhere except the one place she’s toting around a full grown, viable human being. That’s quite a feat. No one should be forced to look at that in a public venue if they don’t want to. It’s a public beach. She is not in her back yard. It’s not up to her to decide how much nudity someone else’s young child should be exposed to on a public beach. Being pregnant does not give her the right to flaunt civil standards. What next? Fat women going topless on the beach because they are uncomfortable and hot in the summer. If she can get anway with this, then noone should be criticized for public exposure any longer.

I’m sorry, but that’s just wrong, on so many levels. First off, I think a pregnant woman is absolutely beautiful. I’ve been pregnant 3 times. Having said that, is it necessary to bare almost her entire body for everyone to see? It’s just tacky. She would have looked totally beautiful wearing a strapless cover up or something. It’s just TOO bare. She’s a mother- to- be, not a stripper or lingerie model.

reading most the “negative” comments cracks me up. Since we are all sharing opinions…here is mine. Why is it that most North Americans cringe seeing a woman in any state of less than perfect? Yeah she is preggers…good for her for not giving a rats and being confident to wear a two piece. Most European women have a different philosophy on their bodies. They embrace them, women of 40+ and up are seen wearing two piece…stretch marks, cellulite and all. Why is it that we are so hung up on this and why is it that we think it’s gross to see a woman pregnant, why is it gross to see a roll or cellulite…I’m 30 and I hope that as I age or when I’m pregnant that I am able to be comfortable and proud of my body as this woman is. Good on her :)

There is nothing wrong with her or the bikini, but I think she should cover more her tits, there are different bikinis and I think that that model is more appropriate for a teen rather than a pregnant woman.

Men are allowed to show their moobs, beer bellies, balding pates, hairy backs, bums, and thighs, pasty skin, flabby bits and genitals crammed tightly into thongs without negative comments yet a woman can’t go on a beach while pregnant without getting blasted. @candice: Concede, concur and confess that you’re right. A better fitting and more supportive bikini would have made a big difference over all. It looks like it’s going to be a big baby though. My friend went 10lbs 3oz on her third child. She was huge and I didn’t envy her one bit.

I don’t want to see a pregnant woman’s bare belly any more than I want to see a middle-aged man’s bare beer gut, or someone’s cellulite or pubic hair. In the privacy of your own home, wear whatever you like, but please don’t offend the public by exposing your personal body parts.

I simply believe that we owe it to others to cover some parts in public. I know that in some cultures people go nude on the beach, but that is not my culture and I wouldn’t go to those beaches.
Babies are beautiful. Big bellies– of whatever etiology– are not.
As for burkhas: that is a completely different subject. Cultures where women (and only women) are required to fully cover themselves are misogynistic and backward.
As I said earlier, there is a reason why humans wear clothes. Thank you for not offending us with your private body parts.
