Rachel Weisz: Ban Botox!

That’s strange, because Rachel never said she had the pulse on anything other than her opinion on fashion and her views on Botox, which is 100% correct. Its an addictive operation that a good majority of people abuse to the hill and its quite dangerous to their health and well being.

I agree with many of the comments.. too many woman and men are using it. .And we really don’t know the long term affects. Older people who think they are getting away with something I guess don’t realized how obvious it is that they are doing something.. NO one is really fooled unless they want to be..

My grip with her and others is just that the trend seems to be WHENEVER you have a movie or something to promote they all seem to make these BIG STATEMENTS and STANCE about something.. I remember Kate Winslet when the Oscar push was on.. She talked about other celebs.. bragged that she did not have a nanny that she is the only one to raise her kids and so on.. then the truth came out that she did have help (nanny).. I mean really who believed that her young kids watching themselves when she and her husband are working or doing interviews. This is the same with Megan Fox. ALL those crazy things she has been saying.. YEP she got lots of coverage too.. NO I am not comparing talent.. just the way they all seem to run off at the mouth in interviews when they are promoting something. Rachel is a good actress.. But I doubt she would have gotten this much media coverage it she had not said this about botox..

It would be interesting to see how this cover/interveiw would have played if she had not said anything about botox.. MY guess not many people in this country would have cared. Most don’t really know much about her short of The Mummy, and most are not really interested in her life.. so YEAH saying something a bit controversial is a way to get you in the lamelight..

See it is working with Rachel.. Megan and so many others..

i like her. she’s a good actress. And she is looking more beautiful as she ages. I like her thinner look, i don’t think she’s too thin. I find she lost her baby fats..lol..at a older age…

You know what else should be banned. Photoshop magic that lets overweight actresses on magazine covers pretend they weigh 100 lbs.

I can see why Rachel doesn’t like grooming. I bet it takes her forever to get rid of her hairy unibrow.

You’re absolutely right.
Since she was giving an interview with a magazine of HER country, she was probably caring more about the brit audience here.
Maybe the public in her native country knows a little bit more about her than The mummy or cares about her. Well, if it’s not the case, you can bet she won’t be on a cover of UK fasion magazine for a while.Selling figures will tell that.

“blow dry and immaculate grooming thing”, what part of America is she talking about, I’d love to see that lol.. She is generalizing too much and might be guided too much by what she sees in tv or what she has seen in NY and LA, which is really different to the rest of the country.. Not that I see a problem with with the “blow dry and immaculate grooming thing”, if a person wants to look good that’s their problem, whatever floats your boat.. I like her, but this comment, not so much….

Apparently, Ms. Weisz not only wants to ban botox, but she also seems to have an aversion to standard English. “Different TO???” How can anything be “different TO” something else? It is different “FROM,” as every eight-year-old AMERICAN child knows. Not only do Americans embrace good grooming and hygiene, but we also know basic grammar.

And I am commenting on her GRAMMAR, or lack thereof. I couldn’t care less what she has to say about Botox, and neither should anyone else. SHE should do what she wants with HER face, and she should allow OTHERS to do what they wish with their own. Who is SHE to dictate how others should use THEIR own bodies when she can’t even formulate a simple sentence? She’s a JOKE — someone to be laughed at!

And if she has such a low opinion of Americans, perhaps she would like ALL AMERICANS TO STOP SEEING HER FILMS! Let’s see what she would have to say about the physical appearance of those standing next to her on a n UNEMPLOYMENT LINE!
