Xavier Samuel: Twilight’s Newest Star For ‘Eclipse’
Australian baby face Xavier Samuel has been cast in Eclipse, the third flick in the Twilight franchise.
“I don’t have any facial hair, so it will be a while before I play the gruff leading man,” Xavier has said. “Maybe one day I’ll get to play my actual age. For now my baby face has condemned me to play the teenager.”
According to THR, Xavier, 25, will play newborn vampire Riley, a good-looking college student who joins the plot of villain Victoria to murder protagonist Bella (Kristen Stewart). Riley is corrupted by Victoria, for whom he has an inexplicable weakness.
Eclipse stars shooting next month in Vancouver.

I hope it’s good. I hope it’s not a disappointment. Sometimes sequels don’t live up to their hype. Sometimes they are completely misleading. Well, Stephenie is a quality writer and a quality person, so I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt. She hasn’t disappointed me yet, so I’ll just bet this will turn out to be a classic.

^Hallelujah I agree. Twilighters have so many expectations and throw tantrums when things don’t go their way eurgh. Xavier is cute, not hot. And yes, I am probably biased because he’s Australian.
He is exactly how I saw Riley in my head. There were rumors of a few bigger names up for this part but none of them were very close to the book. I think this was great casting on physicality but we’ll see how he does with acting.

He looks like he could play the part very well.. i wish him the BEST of luck, and people don’t need to judge him until they see the movie. Remember when many were sayng ew to robert pattinson- now look what happened. He’s a hearthrob. Congrats Xavier Samuel & good luck :)
