House M.D. star Olivia Wilde makes a silly face with a JJ-sign at the Express/Elle TXT L8TR campaign event at West Hollywood’s Nobu on Wednesday (July 29). The 25-year-old actress (and #1 on Maxim’s top 100) sat down for an exclusive JustJared.com interview!
JJ: How was your first time at Comic-Con?
OW: It was fantastic. We were so excited that there was such a positive response to showing our teaser in 3-D. That was test-footage for Tron. It wasn’t even a real trailer from the film. I can’t even imagine what a ruckus we can cause next year. It’s really going to be exciting!
JJ: What was your experience campaigning with Justin [Long] and Kal [Penn] for President Obama?
OW: Oh yeah! Justin came to New Hampshire! I went to several states, but Kal and I took several actors on the road. We were first of the two surrogates in October of 2007 and rocked the caucus. And from there, everyone did different states. It was a way to bond with the community outside of the business. It was great! Among other things of electing the President!
JJ: Who’s the biggest prankster on the House set?
OW: Kal, Peter Jacobsen, Omar Epps and I torture each other all the time!
JJ: What’s your favorite prop on-set?
OW: My stethoscope!
JJ: Do you have a Twitter?
OW: Nope – not yet.
JJ: What did you think after getting the #1 spot in the 2009 Maxim Hot 100 list?
OW: Extremely flattered. It was a shock! It’s not an arena I thought I would compete in! It was a great compliment, but it’s fleeting. You focus on your work!
JJ: You went to Georgetown Day School. Were you disappointed that Sasha and Malia Obama choose Sidwell Friends over your school?
OW: Hell yeah!

I LOVE “HOUSE”! Hugh Laurie is great! I replay the introductory song to the show over and over…. wish it was longer. Congrats on his nomination. He should win an award if he hasnt already. His character actually has a similar personality & intelligence & heart as my dad…. u wonder how I turned out then…. rebellious and against every conformity known to man.
I am glad they got Kal Penn, who also works for the White House and was picked by Obama for Asian America affairs… and he is also a professor/teacher at a university. I dont like the way he speaks sometimes as his character on House tho. Sounds fake, even if that’s his actual way of talking….annoying
Olivia is boring on the show. She should do action movies or something. Switch with Megan Fox. Have Megan play a doctor on House & maybe she would get some real credit as an actor instead of constantly being called an Angelina Jolie wannabe.
But I digress..

Just curious Jared, how is the campaigning for Obama relevant to anything anymore. That was over a year ago. Are you still proud of what you voted into office? Because it might seem cool now to have a black man in office but I, myself, would rather a qualified president than just one who happens to be a certain color. No, I’m not raciest, which tends to be the normal response from dumba** liberals, I actually voted for a black man for governor of Ohio. On the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November 2011, America will make the right decision this time.
