Hugh Jackman is the Greatest Showman on Earth
Hugh Jackman will play American showman P.T. Barnum in the original contemporary musical The Greatest Showman on Earth.
Variety reports that Barnum’s love interest, singer Jenny Lind, is being scriped for Anne Hathaway, who sang with Hugh in his opening Oscars number.

It’s been yeaaaaaaaaaars since I had a vacation. And I loooooove Vegas. I’m so jealous!! In a way I think it would be cool to be a pap, always getting to go to all these places. But I am so polite, I was totally suck at that job.

I think he had great chemistry with hathaway at the oscars. He also wanted her for “carousel”, which he’s also producing. Wonder what this means for carousel - is it the backburner again? I hope not.
The only news I hope is false is mika writing the songs. Totally wrong style for hugh, and this type of musical, in my opinion.

His Oscar musical opening was the the best opening of any award show I have ever seen. That night , Hugh Jackman proved how multi- talented he really is ( Denzel Washington, Sean Penn, Robert Deniro, Daniel Day-Lewis could not have pulled that off). Anne Hathaway surprised the world with her wonderful muscial theatre chops ( and incredible singing voice ! ). She brilliantly displayed she can improvise & be very creative in a “live” setting. A true “Movie Star” was born on Oscar Night, and her name is Anne Hathaway.
P.S. I agree they both have incredible chemistry. At the Academy Awards, Jackman & Hathaway were both silly, goofy , playful , and very loving to each other.
