OlderDonald Faison: 50,000 Pairs in 50 Days!
Scrubs star Donald Faison called up JustJared.com while on the set of his top secret Funny or Die video. The 35-year-old actor talked about the latest cause near and dear to his heart — The 50,000 Shoes Challenge.
JJ: How did you get involved with The 50,000 Pairs in 50 Days Challenge?
DF: I had a lot of shoes and sneakers in my closet that I wanted to get rid of. My girlfriend [Cacee Cobb] and I were hanging out in my closet and works for a shoe charity called Soles4Souls, so she asked me if I could give them away.
CaCee told me 300 million kids in the world don’t have shoes, so I thought it would be a good idea to give those shoes away to the kids that can’t afford it. That’s how I got on board. She then took me down to the mission and I gave out shoes to homeless people down there. Since then, when you realize that you’re helping people out, it makes you want to do more. Since then, CaCee’s gotten Zach [Braff] involved, and a few others.
JJ: How many shoes have you donated yourself?
DF: I want to say 30 pairs, but I don’t think I have that many sneakers, so about 15 pairs.
JJ: When do you get back to filming Scrubs?
DF: The 31st! Very excited.

Who cares??
If he signed the shoes and sold them, he could make SO much money that he could put into buying more shoes for people. Guess he didn’t think it through too well.
