Parker Posey Battling Lyme Disease

Parker Posey has pulled out of an upcoming off-Broadway play after developing a case of of Lyme disease.

The 40-year-old actress was set to play the lead role in the play This — about a poet who is a single mother. No replacement for Parker has been announced yet.

Lyme disease is a treatable tick-borne illness that usually results in a rash but if left untreated, could cause severe and chronic symptoms affecting many parts of the body.

Get well soon, Parker!

I feel very bad for her. I have Lyme Disease, and have been treating it for over a year! I am continuting to treat it. It’s really rough…hope she get some good treatment :)
