Ryan Phillippe Shoots ‘MacGruber’ Movie
Ryan Phillippe and his costars, SNL actors Will Forte and Kristen Wiig shoot scenes for the MacGruber movie in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Monday (August 31).
If you’re not familiar, MacGruber is the recurring Saturday Night Live sketch that parodies MacGyver (the 80’s series where MacGyver could make weapons out of paperclips). The most famous MacGruber skit is the Pepsi one.
Forte plays the titular bumbling spy and Wiig reprises her Vicki character (MacGruber’s assistant).

i wasn’t that excited about another snl character flick - but if ryan is in it, i might have to check it out.
um.. mcgruber wasn’t funny on snl.. do they think it’ll be funny on the big screen?!? lmbaoo.. the movie will be horribly unfunny

Yeah, this skit was a little amusing the first time. But it hasn’t changed any and is way old. I can’t believe Phillipe attached himself to this crap.
How could you not know Ryan has a sense of humor? His best friend is a comedic actor, Breckin Meyer, and one of his earliest friends in Hwood was Seth Green. Have you never seen his fake “sex tape” from Jimmy Kimmel’s show? I’m hoping this is good, I hear it’s going to be a hard “R” rated film.
Will Ferrell is the unfunniest person to emerge from SNL since Adam Sandler. I couldn’t care less what he does because I will not spend one cent on anything he is connected with.

its a funny 2-3 minute skit on SNL but i dont know how they’re going to pull off an entire movie.
Ryan showed his comedic talent in Cruel Intentions and Igby Goes Down. After first seeing the “sex tape” skit from the Jimmy Kimmel show, I remember thinking it’s a shame that Ryan doesn’t do comedy more. Now if we could twist his arm to do a romantic comedy, I’d be even happier.
