Allan Hyde: True Blood’s Godric Goes Shirtless

Allan Hyde, who played vampire Godric on True Blood, gets down and dirty in this new photo shoot.

Pictured below is the 20-year-old actor play-biting into 90210 starlet AnnaLynne McCord’s neck (standing besides Hyde’s costar Nelsan Ellis, aka Lafayette).

“Probably one of the reasons [True Blood creator Allan Ball] chose me [to play Godric] was this accent,” Hyde has said of his Danish-British (and slight American) tongue. “It was the thing [Ball] liked about it. You can’t track [Godric] back to one place.”

Thanks so much for this! Allan Hyde is amazing and I definitely hope we’ll continue to see more of him. His potrayol of Godric as wonderful and inspiring! My only complaint is that it didn’t last long enough.

In the books he also went by the name of Godfrey and was a pedophile who, if I remember correctly, didn’t even know Eric!

I for one am glad that they didn’t take the literal approachwith this character - I loved Godric on “True Blood”, but Godfrey in the Southern Vampire Series certainly wasn’t a lovable character.

I loved Allan Hyde as Godric and I agree the only complaint is that his character was so short lived. I hope we get to see more of him and get to hear his sexy accent. Thank you JJ!

Allan Hyde as Godric, perhaps turned in the best overall performance in True Blood, except for one scene, where Deborah Ann Woll, as Jessica, reaches up under her blue pleated skirt and pulls down her panties, which is best in show.

Hope to see some of Godric on True Blood - hopefully some scenes from the past when he was made a vampire - his stay on True Blood was way, way too short.
