OlderLady Gaga - MTV VMAs 2009
Lady Gaga performs and accepts the award for Best New Artist during the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards at NYC’s Radio City Music Hall on Sunday (September 13).
While accepting her award, the 23-year-old singer said her award was “for God, and for the gays.”
When Gaga arrived for the show and stepped out of her limo, she ran into none other than Kermit the Frog. This, after Lady Gaga wearing an interesting Kermit the Frog jacket on a German television show couple months ago.
On the red carpet of the VMAs, Gaga and Kermit even stopped to share a kiss.
“He’s been a really good date,” Gaga said. “It’s our first date, but we’ve been eyeing each other for a while.”
“We’re just friends!” Kermit claimed.
P.S. Did anyone else notice Mark Kanemura from season 4 of So You Think You Can Dance? He was one of Gaga’s backup dancers!

I felt so emotional watching her performance!! she proved people wrong and represents for us artists!!! TO BE GREAT IS TO BE MISUNDERSTOOD!! Gaga’s performance was part of an Art Installation, look at her outfit AFTERWARDS, it’s all Red… symbolizing the aftermath of Fame, when you’re not famous anymore… that’s a life of hell. Fame kills.

I thought she was pretty interesting, I’ve never actually seen her perform before. Her style is ummm different but pretty cool.

There be crazy in those eyes. I almost was expecting her to eat someone’s head off, honesty. But instead she hangs herself bleeding… creepy. Anyone other than me think this might be symbolic of her saying, ” I sacrifice myself for fame” ??? That blood almost looked real too. These VMA’s are just becoming more and more rediculus
