LaToya Jackson keeps it in classic black Lloyd Klein at the 27th annual Macy’s Passport benefit at the Barker Hangar on Thursday (September 24) in Santa Monica, Calif.
The 53-year-old sister of the late Michael Jackson opened up to JustJared.com on the red carpet:
On her latest musical effort, her single dedicated to Michael titled “Home”: “It’s a song I had written about five years ago with my business partner Jeffery Phillips, and it basically was about home and how this business takes you away from your home.”
On what it’s like being part of such a successful family: “I wouldn’t change for the world, its wonderful to be in a large family. It’s wonderful to have so many siblings, someone is always there and its always so much fun and there are so many things to do.”
On the best gift Michael gave her: “I think, all his advice. His advice lasts forever. You never, never forget it.”

How nice that since Michael’s death they are all getting new work and lots of press :/ She looks super happy about it too.
I agree with Missy…I always saw their mom as being a sweet and generous person, but I read the other day that she’s getting over 60,000 dollars a month to raise her grandchildren, and she still wants to contest Michael’s will, even though he explicitly didn’t leave her his estate! Why are people so greedy? :( Michael is better off away from this world and it’s greed inhabitants…may he rest in peace. <3
She looks like a bobblehead. Her head is too big for her body. She’s eating up all of the attention, that huge smile on her face is just sickening.
I can not agree with what I am seeing people post since I don’t hang off the word of the media. However, I do know that Latoya creeps me out.

I think she looks great. I’m so glad the family is trying to maintain the legacy. If I pass, I hope my family will do the same. Why should they let the legacy die? There would be no Michael without his family and Latoya is raising money for charities around the world as Michael did. I am disgusted and ashamed of cynics who want to discourage that. Keep up the good work Latoya. Some of us are behind you.
Calm down people as a Michael fan I know he wouldn’t want anyone to bash his family yeah he had his share of problems with them but they are his family and he loved them I don’t think is fair for Michael’s fans to bash them.
La Toya’s body is looking incredible WOW don’t forget people she is 53 years old for god sakes and I like the dress she is wearing but I don’t understand why did she had to mess up with her face she was a beautiful woman before the plastic surgeries I just don’t get it .

so what do you want her to do cry on the red carpet, hes kids were out the other day playing, alughing and smiling but i guess you want them to be crying every minutue, a death happens but the quicker you get over it the better, it can drag you down if you try not to get over it quickly believe me! my cousin was murdered it hurt but getting over it as a family made us stronger but inside we still hurt knowing when its sunday dinner hes not there but you get over it, and how do you know michaels mother wasnt getting money from him monthly anyway you dont know that and when michael was alive, i seen latoya all the time in the public eye so dont what your going on about, your a fan like me, you do not know michaels inside so stop your judging
One thing Michael doesn’t need, is Joe and Jermaine and La Toya maintaining anything that pertains to his legacy. His music and his children and our love for him is his legacy. The Jackson’s just need to go back in their hole, collect the money and let Michael’s professional crew handle it.

One piece of advice she obviously got from Michael was the name of his skin lightening cream. Or does she have vitiglio too? Her face is totally plastic and frightening.

Well I’m glad to see that the Jackson family is slowly getting back to work and moving on with their lives. I read Janet’s interview for Bazaar the other day, they seemed to be a very close family, not matter what the media says. Don’t believe all the crazy rumors you read in the tabloids. It’s so easy to make up one crazy story after another about someone when this person has been a target for decades. Seems that some people have this sickening pleasure of destroying the same person they fought so hard to put on top.
Michael was obviously loved by his children, siblings and fans. And they have the right to smile and be happy again. So I say God bless this family.
CALM DOWN PEOPLE… Remember people don’t like to be around depressive folks…if there were always crying, and being sad it would wear folks around them down and people would avoid them because it is taxing on the emotions…
She may be smiling but in her own private moments her tears are shed…
