OlderBen McKenzie: Jerry’s Famous Deli Dude
Ben McKenzie and a few friends dine out at Jerry’s Famous Deli on Saturday (October 10) in West Hollywood, Calif.
On Thursday, NBC canceled the 30-year-old actor’s drama Southland before its season premiere. Ben hasn’t been vocal about the cancellation but his co-star Michael Cudlitz is downright angry.
He tells EW, “I’m pissed. I’ve said it on my Twitter account. I’m pissed off. We had all the pre-season stuff, all the dinners and parties. They told us they loved and believed in the show. They said the [delay] would be good for us. On paper it all made sense so I was willing to believe I was being told the truth… I don’t just walk in one day and go, ‘Eh, I’m not going to act today. I know I told you I was going to act, but I’m not going to do my thing.’ But I guess because they own the ball and the ballpark they get to do that. It’s kind of cheap.”

The guy with Ben in the pictures is is James Immekus, another terrific actor.
James is also good friends with Logan Marshall Green.
Why not just put it on the SyFy channel or Bravo? It is orginal content why can it after promising the show the moon?
God I hate jay leno more and more for taking drama out of 10pm for the next 2 years (minimum per his contract)

“We have episodes that have never aired that are pretty fantastic. And if it moves somewhere else, it could become the show that it should have been initially — which is even darker and grittier.”
I’m so upset they cancelled Southland. What the hell?! Seriously. I was all pumped for the second season and then BAM, it’s cancelled. Such BS.
HOT he needs to do movies, his career would sky rocket and i would def. go c all of them. go ben! : )
Thanks for the pictures of the always sexy Ben McKenzie. I love Southland and really hope it finds a new home. I’m done with NBC and even though I usually watch Chuck, Heroes and Comminity. No more NBC for me.
NBC is too quick to cancel shows and they never promote them either! They did the same thing to KINGS and that show was amazing!

Talentless? Ben got a lot of great reviews for his acting in Southland.
The show was one of the best reviewed of the year.
I am really peeved about Southland’s cancellation. Do NBC not know a great show when they see it. Idiots! They are always cancelling good shows whilst they are in their prime.
Hope another network picks it up. I will miss seeing Ben in this show otherwise.
