Alexandra Burke Performs ‘Bad Boys’ on ‘X Factor’
Alexandra Burke, returns to The X Factor (she won the reality TV singing competition last year) and performs her new single “Bad Boys” with rapper Flo Rida on Sunday (October 11).
The 21-year-old British singing sensation has her debut album, Overcome, being released next week (October 19). When asked to describe her album, Alexandra shared, “There’s more up-tempo tracks on the album that there are ballads. The ballads on there are very, very strong. The up-tempo tracks are very loud, fierce and beastly! When I recorded the ballads I cried, they’re very emotional.”

Those of us who saw it live on TV first and not on youtube think that she was lipsynching major portions of the song. I thought that it seemed impossible for her to be doing some of the dance moves that she did, and still not have a single note out of place, so I do think that she did lipsync most of the song.
But it’s a fantastic single otherwise for Alex, and her album will be great as well.

Alex is very talented and will go along way-even those people who watched her perform in the audience said that she sang LIVE over a backing track.A mimed performance would have been flawless and she did a great job but hit a few flat notes.She is a great live performer and does not need to mime.

It was pre-recorded people! Anyone who has watched any of her X Factor peformances CAN TELL the difference; her voice doesn’t sound like that live. You’re in denial if you think that was live. Funny how the mic went at the end for her interview isn’t it?
It was a good peformance though. She has gourgeous eyes!
As I can understand how some people could have mistakenly gotten the idea that she mimed, I will now state several facts.
1) She is singing along to a backtrack - all singers do this, even Queen B.
2) You can hear that she is mildly out of breath at some points.
3) She had one or two flat notes.
4) Besides, Simon being her mentor, he never allows his acts to mime, esp when they’ve been on X Factor. Remember just last year she sang and danced at the same time without sounding like many of the crappy new artists we have today. Watch her ‘Don’t stop the music’ or ‘ Toxic’ performances for proof.

Does it matter whether she mimed or not? She’s made it from singing live on xfactor to making music, it doesnt change the fact that she is very talented.

There was a possibility she mimed BUT there definitley were live vocals.
I watched it live on TV and it was SOOOO mimed! NO WAY she was singing. I’m sorry guys.
you could hear the difference when it was Robbie Williams’ turn to sing.
2:49 she moves her mouth but no sound comes out.. funny huh?
3:28 she STOPS moving her mouth but there’s still sound coming out.. not from the backing track, but actually her main vocals. lmao
