Angelina Jolie Starts Drama With Gucci
Angelina Jolie is in talks to star in the new drama Gucci, to be directed by Ridley Scott.
According to Variety, the film, set to start shooting next year, is about a famous fashion family stricken by scandal and murder as Angie’s character’s plots to kill her ex-husband, Maurizio Gucci.
No word on who may play Maurizio - Ridley Scott has approached Leonardo DiCaprio about the part, but Leo’s not attached to the film at this time.
As soon as a deal is stuck, Angie will star in The Tourist - production will likely take place in early 2010 before Gucci filming begins.

Between Salt and The Tourist, this movie will be a departure from action genre. I’m so excited about this project. She’s a demand actress, I’m not surprised A list directors are after her. When your name is Jolie, you can bet others will sit up and take notice. Let’s see

It’s been almost a week since Ridley Scott was in the trades. Did you miss seeing his name attached to another potential directorial gig? Well, this latest Scott news doesn’t concern a new project. He has long talked about doing a movie about the Gucci family, which would presumably climax with the murder of former fashion mogul Maurizio Gucci, who was gunned down in 1995 by a hitman hired by his ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani. Now, according to Variety, Angelina Jolie has been offered the part of Reggiani.
Despite having more anticipated projects, like the “Alien” prequel (which we’d love to see Jolie star in), and more marketable ideas, like the “Monopoly” board game adaptation, on his plate, Scott is still actively developing “Gucci.” The film is reportedly a priority for Fox 2000, which is in the process of hiring someone to rewrite the script. The story will span three decades, focusing not just on Maurizio Gucci’s death but on his family’s fashion empire in general.
Variety claims that Scott has been hoping for Leonardo DiCaprio to play Maurizio, but it’s hard to see the actor in the role. Not only does he not look much like the man, but he also doesn’t seem like a good match for Jolie. Remember how ill-fitting the actress looked with Matt Damon in “The Good Shepherd”? This is a similarly troubling match. Jolie is just such a dominant presence in movies that she’s not easily compatible with many leading men. Then again, that could work favorably depending on what the Gucci’s marriage was like.

I love this idea. I’m for Anything that keeps brad pitt away from making movies. So if they stick to their routine Angie will work and Brad will not be able to make bad acting in good movies for a while.
I hate Jolie-pitt fans who want to keep Angie back and tell her to stop making movies. Just so the creeps can get their fix of more Jolie-Pitt children dreams and their fantasy of Angelina baking cookies and acting like some robowife. oh and of course they don’t want to choke on the many rumors that will fly with any leading man Angie is paired with. SUCK IT UP!
She hasn’t signed on for anything. Scott is just using her name and she won’t sign to The Tourist if she doesn’t get the director she wants

1. A lack of personal human long term relationship experiences
2. An unobserver of the natural migration from lust to long term stable love…most long term couples DO NOT act lovey-dovey in public unless one or both are insecure and/or have a “need” to show. “actionspeak…“ should watch the sequel “Cinderella II Dreams Come True” which clearly shows once she moved into the castle Cinderella does not glom onto the Prince arm in arm either in the privacy of the castle nor in public.
2. A screaming environment with her ‘all caps’ because no one listens to “actionspeak…” unless she shouts which may indicate she is a.) boring, b.) has nothing worthy to say, c) is unintelligible or d) all of the above.

Brad and Angie always talk about their schedules. Also, these films are only speculative. Remeber Brad would have been filming for a while now if Moneyball or Lost City of Z had started ontime. What makes me laugh is In Touch rag. The hens can not let one week go by without a jab at Angie. Really tired of them. I discourage anyone I see even looking at that rag inthe supermarket. I tell them they would be better off buying the National Equirer. At least their lies are exciting and weird.
I think they should give Leonardo a try. He is also a good actor. Can’t think of any other though who looks like Mr. Gucci.
