OlderBlake Lively Nursing Penn Badgley Back To Health
Blake Lively and Penn Badgley help support Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation at the 2009 Angel Ball at NYC’s Cipriani Wall Street on Tuesday night (October 20).
JustJared.com had the extreme pleasure of interviewing the Gossip Girl couple together but Penn couldn’t talk much because he recently had his upper-left wisdom tooth removed. Blake told me she was wearing a Victoria Beckham ensemble, Lorraine Schwartz jewels and Christian Louboutin pumps. She even did a cute spin for me so I could see her shoes sparkle!
Here’s what Blake shared before being twirled around on the dance floor by Penn during Marvin Gaye’s “Distant Lover”:
JJ: I take it you’ve been nursing Penn back to health after he had his wisdom tooth extracted…
BL: He’s a strong man - he’s doing well. (laughs)
JJ: Did you like his Men’s Health cover?
BL: He always looks extremely handsome. Always!
JJ: What does Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation mean to you?
BL: Cancer research in general is so important. My grandfather had cancer. Also, I’m very close with [jewelry designer] Lorraine Schwartz and this is close to her for personal reasons. So, I wanted to be out here to support her tonight. She got me off work, so I’m very excited!

The evening raised nearly $4 million for cancer research. During the auction, Blake and Penn helped auction off an orange crocodile Hermes “Birkin” bag, which has a five-year year waiting list!. It sold for a whopping $60,000!

I love Blake Lively, being a girl whose 5′7, and I find it surprising to say, but I’d love to have a body like hers. It seems toned yet curvy. She and Marion Cotillard are lovely. Both on different planes but lovely. Blake’s about the only one I can tolerate from GG, though I don’t watch.
I’m sorry - why does this beautiful girl have the posture of a ninety year old? She never stands up straight. She contorts herself in all manner of bizarre ways, almost like she’s trying to hide her height. She’s a doll, though. Just wish she’d stand up all the way already!

Most tall women slouch or compress their bodies to look similar or smaller in height to the men they are standing with. Heck, most women do this in general. It’s not really bizarre.
