Eastwick — Canceled!
After drawing in fewer than 5 million viewers per night, ABC will not be ordering more episodes of the supernatural comedy Eastwick.
The freshmen show, which stars Rebecca Romjin, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman, brought a new twist on the hit 1987 movie and book by John Updike, The Witches of Eastwick.
According to THR, Eastwick will finish production on 13 episodes and will air its final episodes on ABC in the usual Wednesday night time slot.

Poor Lindsay Price-I really like her-I hope she finds a good show that will last!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! WTF man! Every show I get into gets cancelled! Why?!?! Eastwick is great show! A great escape from the current shows on the air. It was soo good and each episode got better and better. Can’t someone else pick it up!??! Damnit, I’m upset!! It’s the only show, besides The Mentalist and Law&Order:SVU that I actually enjoy watching…and make time for. Ugh!!!!!!
I’m not surprised. I tried to get past the first ten minutes of the pilot, but I had to turn it off. It was very boring.
Oh man that sucks. I caught the show a couple of times, when I remembered it was on LOL ..and it was quite good. Especially last weeks. Oh well. That really sucks for Lindsay, first Lipstick Jungle now this. She’s not a bad actress though, she’ll get some other role :) .. Hope the rest of the cast continue to do well.

the show isn’t bad. there are way many shitttty shows out there.
It figures :( It is a good show. They were just getting their footing and picking up creative steam . This is about as good a call as when the big wigs cancelled Moonlight right before the vampire craze hit….. They have some real dumbazzez working for networks now a days ! Hopefully someone will pick it up because it can do well if on the right network and time slot.

I’d only seen a few episodes … but of those that I saw, I thought Lindsay Price did a decent job … she made it her own (her character seems to be modeled after a combo of those played by Susan Sarandon and Michelle Pfieffer in the 1987 movie)

You take a show with a great cast and the first few shows have great
scripts than you add on some awful cast members and a terrible
scriptwriters.. why pay the script writers when all we have is junk…
This show was great and now cancelled.. well now Lindsay can
go back to Melrose and Rebecca can go back to being a full time
mom..

It seems that in today’s TV business, shows are only kept on the air, if they create a buzz in the media. The ratings don’t matter anymore. You need scandals, actors ending up in the tabloids every day, to sell the advertising time.
this is such a tragedy! it’s the only good new show this fall season! i am so mad at abc for canceling great shows like this and “pushing daisies.”

I knew there was not going to be a second season. I tried to give it a chance, but it was so boring and poorly executed that I just gave up on it.

Ten years ago I stopped watching network evening tv because they cancel everything without giving it time to catch on. And in these ten yrs I have watched Lost and Eureka. That’s it. Until this year, then i started watching a few programs again, of which Eastwick is my favorite. So thanks a lot ABC for wasting my time again. i’m not sticking with any of your other new shows this season cause I hate wasting my time. After Lost ends maybe I’ll see you in another ten years. But probably not. Why not have another reality show. That’s just what we need.
This really upsets me! I love this show!
