Carrie Underwood Hosts The 2009 CMAs
Carrie Underwood hosts the 2009 CMA Awards at the Sommet Center on Wednesday (November 11) in Nashville, Tennessee.
The 26-year-old singer performed her new single “Cowboy Casanova” at the awards show. Brad Paisley and Carrie opened the 2009 CMAs by changing the lyrics to “Mamas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys” to include a reference to Kanye West.
Carrie’s new album “Play On” has sold 318,000 copies so far, claiming the No. 1 Billboard 200 chart position.

OMG I can’t believe that Taylor Swift actually WON Female Vocalist of the year. Yes she sold lots and lots of cds (and I have both of her cds who are good) but she is NOT a vocalist. Even the effin SHANYA TWAIN has never won Female Vocalist of the year and she is a goddess compared to taylor.
I don’t say Carrie should have won this because last year she didn’t do anything and Carnival Ride was crap. However Play On, her new cd is amazing. Some huge songs!
Anyway, Carrie showed taylor how a performance should look like.
The dress in picture #24 looked completely stunning on Carrie. The picture doesn’t do it justice. Carrie and Brad did a great job hosting the show. I absolutely loved the digs at Kanye! Little Jimmy - you were fantastic!

it blows my my mind that carrie undewood did not win femal vocalist. she can sing circles around taylor.i realize taylor has sold a lot of albums but she can’t even compare vocally to carrie and the other woman who were nominated in that category. Carrie and brad did an awesome job hosting. I think they should just host all of the CMA’s for now on! Carrie looked gorgeous and i loved her performance of cowboy casanova.
Carrie rocked last night. She was totally stunning in everything she wore.

Carrie is maturing nicely as a performer and host. What a pretty and classy gal. I love that she has a personal life and is not all publicity and show business. She will be in the business as long as she wants to be. Congrats to another great gal in Taylor. Now is her time and she is taking full advantage of it. Let’s all support the classy ladies of country as they support each other.

You are quite the racist aren’t you? If you want to see a white woman take shots, checkout LeAnn Rimes. She doesn’t care what anybody says or thinks. Rimes is an F-you in your face F-off chick that I don’t like to see hang around Carrie or Taylor but Rimes can give as good as she gets. She may even chew tobacco.
