OlderReese Witherspoon Talks A Little Trash
Reese Witherspoon leaves Jill Roberts boutique in Beverly Hills on Tuesday (November 17).
The 33-year-old actress appeared last Friday as a guest on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien. “I like to throw things away. I’m obsessed with garbage,” she said. “After a holiday or a birthday, I have tons and tons of garbage and it always overflows and I always sort of peek out late at night and look at the neighbors’ garbage can and it’s, like, empty. They’re like these amazing people that have no trash.
“So, if I have a particularly bad day, where I have a lot of extra garbage, I go and take my garbage and put it in theirs,” Reese said. “I also put on rubber boots if there’s too much garbage and I’ll stand on the garbage and smash the garbage down… I’m, like, a garbage compactor.”

She is so ultimately boring it’s painful.
Is the weather always sunny in LA? I’m in London and the weather is mild but cloudy. I would find it hard to stomach the materialistic and self-absorbed LA lifestyle… but I’d love the weather!
Oh good grief - Reese is such a control freak, even about something as mundane as ‘trash.’ Yeah, I imagine she’s kinda boring.

A garbage anecdote – god she’s dull
funny thing she talked about the same story like two years ago on ELLEN! I was excited to watch her on CONAN and she told the same story for most of the segment! i was sooo dissappointed! LOL

Oh my god. Throwing her trash into the neighbor’s trash bin? That’s unclassy and cheap of her. She can afford another trash bin for christ’s sake.

Does she really think anyone cares how she takes out her garbage? That story might have been interesting if she was a hoarder and kept her garbage. Or is she trying to prove that she’s like everyone else and takes her garbage out herself instead of having the staff do it.
Personally, to me it was a back handed way of saying I’m rich and I throw away more than you or the neighborhood even have. At birthdays and holidays I can afford to buy my kids tons of stuff. So much that I have to use the neighbors garbage cans.
At least she isn’t out drinking and doing drugs.

Talking about ‘trash’ just shows how candid and real she is. At least she not talking ‘trash’ about the American people who’ve made her rich and famous (a la Megan Fox).

Garbage?? the same crap she said a few years back?? This woman is a few cherries short of a total fruit cake!
I too thought it was odd that she recycled the garbage story on Conan (no pun intended) Also when she discussed Halloween it was rather vague. He asked her what her costume was and instead of saying I went out as a black cat or ghost or something like that she said she likes to wear wigs and stuff like that. It’s like I didn’t believe her that she took the kids trick or treating this year. Wasn’t she in Philly around that time completing her film? It seems she tells scenarios rather than actual events that happen with the kids. I get it that she likes her privacy but don’t trot out vague stories. They should have focus on other things like her experiences on set rather than her personal life since she doesn’t like to reveal much. Her kids are cute though the times we seem them with her or Ryan.
She is a super mom and the papz should not shoot her kids!
