Rihanna slips into a daringly sexy white bandage jumpsuit while performing “Hard” and “Wait Is Over” at the 2009 American Music Awards at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday (November 22) in Los Angeles.

After the AMAs, the 21-year-old Bajan babe took a flight to JFK airport in New York City. Rihanna is in town to promote her new CD, Rated R, in stores NOW. At 5PM TODAY she’ll be signing CDs at the Best Buy store in Union Square. And tomorrow, she’ll be performing at Good Morning America.

Not a fan of this performance. For me it seemed the vocals were off and her stage presence was lacking. She looked very pretty though.

She has always been a good live performer.. but I think she is off her game right now and trying to re-find her confidence. Kind of embarrassing to go out and perform in front of a whole bunch of people who know the whole situation.. the psychological damage is hard to overcome. .. might take her awhile.. maybe another year of performing to be back to the old Rhianna.
Her hair is awful but at least she toned down the clown makeup.

I loved the stage and the lighting, hated the songs and performance. Rihanna cannot sing, and she prouved it at the AMAs.
Agree, she’s off her game but imho, she’s never been a very good live performer. Her voice isn’t the best and her moves are weak. Sometimes she even forgets to dance.
Her strength is in videos where her marketing team can manipulate her voice to sound semi-decent and dress her up like a supermodel and parade her around half-naked.

People complain but there are only a handful of “singers” in the industry all of the rest try and get by on stage presence and props. I’m not a hater though because I like Rihanna.
She does look sort of pretty there. Whoever did her makeup did a nice job. Now if only they could do something with her hair.
I’m sorry but I thing she’s beginning to show that she’s really a flash in the pan.
she needs to concentrate on songwriting (or getting better songwriters), voice training and not rely on her outer appearances so much.
The performance was terrible. Her attitude was like yeah I’m back when in reality it was like wtf, are you serious with that?
Enough with the outfits. If she wants to be taken seriously again she better bring it music wise.
