OlderJust Jared: Simpson Sister Sandwich!
Ashlee Simpson and big sister Jessica sandwich in Just Jared at Ashlee’s after-party held at INC Lounge inside the Time Hotel in New York City on Monday night (November 30).
Earlier in the evening, Ashlee made her Broadway debut at the Ambassador Theatre as the diva with a derringer, Roxie Hart, in Chicago The Musical. (In 2006, she played Roxie in London’s West End.)
At the Svedka-sponsored after-party, Ashlee celebrated her first night on Broadway with her castmates, friends and family (including proud parents Joe and Tina).
With all the dancing and singing she did earlier in the evening, Ashlee shared how exhausted she was. “I’m going straight home to ice my ankles!” she laughed.
Jessica (in Collette Dinnigan) was seen taking a bunch of crumpled tissues out of her purse and shared how she cried during the show because she was so proud of her sister. Aww! As a beaming aunt, she also showed off pictures of her adorable nephew Bronx on her BlackBerry. Double aww!
Also spotted: Ashlee’s husband Pete Wentz playing a game of pool with sister-in-law Jessica. After scratching (getting the white cue ball into the table pocket), Jess laughed, “I’ve never played pool before!”

Broadway has hit an all time low. They are just attempting to get the kids of holiday shoppers to drag their parents to this show. I can’t honestly think of any other reason to do this. The show must be hurting THAT BAD. Its really nuts. Next they will have the two idiots that crashed the White House Party in Chicago on Broadway.

Ashlee got married, had a baby, and has spent years working her way back up in shows and plays. In other words, she got over it, why can’t you?
